Instead of moaning about City's spending , wouldn't the Scousers time be better employed asking their owners where the £1.182 billion has gone ? and why more of it isn't on the pitch ....too much time sticking their noses in other people's affairs to realise their pockets are being picked ..

During this Sam Lee looked perplexed and started smirking and smiling.(see picture)
Sam Lee has been told by Spurs sources he knows Levy and Spurs are still adamant they are not selling Kane. Lee said City are still confident of signing Kane. Lee thinks City will eventually get Kane done at some point after the Spurs match.

So while that explains why Everton are having to be careful with their spending, how come Manchester City – subject of recent UEFA probes – are now loosening the purse strings for a massive outlay?
Maguire said: “Manchester City have actually moved an awful lot of cost of the book.
“Sergio Aguero was on about £250,000-a-week so with Jack Grealish it’s one in, one out.
“Grealish is on a six-year contract so that works out at £16million-a-year.
“They’ve also sold Jack Harrison and Angelino and I think they even got £11million in a top-up from Jadon Sancho moving from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United.
“So they’ve got money coming through their transfer budget and also they’ve inherited the fact they won the Premier League last season and in doing that you get additional money from a) The Premier League and b) your sponsors, when doing that while they also got to the Champions League final which is probably worth around £80million in terms of UEFA money.”
Maguire added: “They’ve got a fairly big pot and to date so far this summer they’ve spent less than Manchester United who as well as signing Sancho, have also brought in Raphael Varane while Chelsea are about to spend around £98million on Romelu Lukaku.
“There’s a focus on Manchester City because there’s a bit of resentment from other clubs about their issues to do with FFP and there’s also an element of jealousy because at the end of the day we’d all like to be able to sign Grealish.
“I’ll be honest, if he came to Brighton (the team Maguire supports) and signed for £100million, I’d be going ‘fantastic!’”
