Not sure what’s worse;

that **** for getting paid to write his weekly shite; you cunts for reading what he writes or me (also ****) for reading you writing about what he has written.

The worst thing is definitely people being outraged that he's done the same thing he does 38 weeks a year for going on 15 years now.

It's probably a 1 minute conversation he has with a producer while walking off the set of football focus each week, written up by an intern to generate a bit of early morning content on the slowest day of the week.

It's not a serious thing, and yet every week someone finds a way to get worked up about it.

Sterling's new PR people are in full on bullshit mode, asking to spin how he wants to stay and has even impressed the staff in training, even get The Sun to do their bidding - irony.

Whilst off the record...

He needs good P R people

Everything he says or does until he leaves will get a negative spin on bluemoon that is a sure thing.

I think it is serious and so l stamped my foot and said 'bother'

If he is employing paid bullshitters and saying one thing publicly about wanting to stay, while he is privately intending a completely different thing entirely - as is being suggested by TH - then he is being intellectually dishonest, potentially stirring division in the camp for his own ends and frankly would deserve criticism for that.
Better for all concerned for him to just be honest and upfront about his intentions, with the club and with the support. Don’t take us for fools with PR spin. We’re big boys and girls, we can take the truth. We’re not scousers

You started with "if", that is all I would say. Your mate gave his spin on the subject.
Sterlings six full seasons premier league appearances, for City.31, 33 ,33,34,33,31. Reads like a committed professional for me.
Whether he leaves or not , I think he deserves a tad better treatment.

The fact he now appears to have employed a PR agency to stage manage his inevitable exit suggests he may no longer be as committed to the cause as you might wish.
No problem with him leaving. I’d thank him for his efforts. He just doesn’t need to piss down our backs while employing people to tell us it’s raining.
