More lies and made up bullshit.

The Athletic, rehashed via the Daily Express.

£500mill. Good one. LoL!

PSG keeping their interest in Messi to themselves. Yeah, nobody but PSG knew they were interested in Messi. LoL!

Man City were reportedly ready to splash £500million on a long-term package to take Messi to the Etihad Stadium whilst he wanted to leave Barcelona.

It would have included a monumental transfer fee and a colossal salary, which ultimately led to PSG biding their time and keeping their interest to themselves.
Hahaha that is the exact opposite of what happened. PSG were publicly courting Messi for 18 months while City said fuck all

No expert in any PR but just over the years I have seen that a martyr (in context of a successful court order against an individual or an organisation) only strengthens a cause. Maybe best to avoid.
As an ex PR man, I would say you have to weigh up the damage to your rep against the hassle and costs of suing and the danger of creating a martyr and being thought of as a bully.
Issues management techniques are often superior as they are not publicly obvious but we don't do that either as far as I can see. Most of our rep issues are of no consequence but two have come to light which have harmed us. First, Khaldoon is on the record as saying the perception of state ownership damaged CFGs attempts to find a site for NYCITY and, second, the attempts by Villa to sell Grealish to anybody but City. If that idea spreads, we are definitely being harmed.

But I think the RDAHMeedya don't and never will see it as bullying - it's a crusade, it's blessed, anointed, and nothing will bring such rewards as having a dig at MCFC.
As has been said, we should give one of these media groups such a kicking that the others fall into line. One of the major issues is continually describing us as 'state owned' when all the documentation shows that ADUG is owned by an individual and CFG, which does actually 'own' City, has three major shareholders.

There's also the accompanying narrative that we couldn't operate at the level we do without continual owner investment. That's also demonstrably false. It'd be nice if the club made it clear once and for all what the situation is.

They could then emphasise that there is no further excuse for misinformation and that any further repetition of these falsehoods would be treated as deliberate disinformation or even what's known as malinformation (which is disinformation that is deliberately designed to cause harm).

yeah, caught that Savakol (?) bloke on Sky, doing it (again), yesterday. Clear references to cooking the books and state owned. It was funny though, you could feel the frustration in his voice (he was nearly crying) as he repeated his falsehoods. It screamed of 'top six' supporter.

hopefully the athletic goes out of business.

and the morons who write for them can just stick to feeble attempts at winding up fans on twitter
