I saw this earlier as it was repeated and I was gobsmacked. Even for these clowns it was a new low. I think the really gobby one who looks like someone who cons people out of their pension funds, said, "This is what the rest of football has to compete with, state owned clubs like PSG and Manchester City and it's just not possible, it's a real problem." He then went on to say we had very good lawyers who can circumnavigate the ffp rules.

The club might just want to ignore this but the damage it has done and is still doing is probably now beyond repair because they have ignored it for too long. Ask any one of us who go to games and pubs if it's just drivel that we should ignore, when we are constantly under verbal and at times physical attack due to the hatred towards our club and those associated with it, due to the lies these wankers peddle constantly. They have and are continuing to brainwash a nation that we are state owned cheats that have had all our success through unfair means. In other words we have also cheated their clubs out of success that could have been theirs and we must be stopped at all costs. It is the biggest mistake the club has made since the takeover allowing these people to peddle their lying filth.

There are very few major global organisations which do not invest a lot of time protecting their brands and their reputation. When people peddle lies which can damage your business you have to respond. I fully understand that City have to be targeted with any response. It is pointless going after social media loons but SKY is a big media group, like the BBC, like the Daily Mail. They have to be challenged.

City were once involved in something not unlike this. Spurs had an England international right-back called Bert Sproston, and when Spurs travelled up to play City at Maine Road, There were frantic negotiations, and Sproston signed for City on the morning of the game on November 5, 1938, for the then huge fee of £10,000.
So he turned out that afternoon for City against the former team-mates he had travelled up from London with.
City won the game 2-0, so it was a good investment.
Sproston lost his best years to the war, but continued to play until the 1949-50 season. He then became a physiotherapist with Bolton Wanderers - some older Bluemooners may remember him. He was a Cheshire lad from Sandbach, and didn't like the life in London.
