I thought that much of the slave trade was carried out by the Arabs?
Depends how far back you want go. Babylonia, Egypt, Roman Empire, Persia, Greece, Vikings, Aztecs, African Tribes, Spanish Empire, Portuguese Empire, USA, China, India, The Mongols, France, Russian Serfdom, GB and many, many more.

Our ancestors were a part of the time they lived — not our time

Global Slavery Index

USA = 403,000
Saudi Arabia = 61,000
UAE = 15,000

Estimated number living in modern slavery.

Global Slavery Index Website

If you have a look at the prevalence rates (rather then the absolute numbers that you've used) which is more accurate if you're attempting to compare different countries you'll find that the United States ranks more favourably then both Saudi Arabia and the UAE. In fact there are only nine countries better placed than the US.

However the UK ranks worse than all of them.

The Daily Express. Probably worse, if not the same as the Daily United. With United articles running into double figures every day. The latest. No journalist name, nor link. (another signing?)

Didn't Leading come out about 5 years ago?

Just a random recycled thing of no real relevance apart from to get Solskjaer out, by someone called Jack Otway,

So Pep was the real 'chosen one'?

I bet he's kicking himself not joining the Rag's... :-D

Lots of comments from jealous idiots on the BBC article about the takeover, many of them banging on about human rights, or City and Chelsea trophies being meaningless.

Strangely, when I replied to a comment about Saudis and state-sponsored murder, my question whether the US has ever carried out state-sponsored murders was removed by the BBC. Why would that be?
For clarity it’s ok to mention Saudi state sponsored murder but not question the US ?
