Seriously the idea that all journos are rags or dippers is as daft as saying most people support those two. They just don't have balls to write what we all know.
You're right. But it's not about "balls". It's about working within the commercial reality. The "truth" just wouldn't get published, they wouldn't then be earning a living, so they don't. They compromise their professional integrity in order to pay the bills.

Watching Sky Super Sunday Matchday (yuck) show just now and they're talking about the rags. Very apologetic in tone, almost like they're explaining to a kid about a favourite uncle who has died, all hushed tones and soothing words. Fair play to Jamie Jackson and his gurning visage live from his Manchester bedroom, bigging up City's methods and recruitment policies in comparison to them lot.

Then it's on to the latest Liverpool meme "best player in the world right now". And it's back to Netflix I go.

I know the media has to work in a commercial framework but l like to think that the newspapers do report news that is not distorted. I am no saint but would hate to have to go to every day to tell stories in a dishonest way.

He was talking about Tuesday in the CL, we are the only other club playing.

He actually talked about all 3 days of European football football, as it was on 5heir station.
If you want to see bias where their is none fine.
There are plenty of real instances to quote or discuss.

If I was a barcode I'd be raging today. Both Talkshite and BBC going into two footed tackle attack mode about their new owners.

Comments such as "Staveley thinks she's playing a good PR game. Yet most of us behind the scenes can see through it."

I'm not 100% sure you're having a laugh or not. Have you read the article? They won't be happy over in Stretford.
TBF I think he just looked at the headlines and didn't anticipate anyone would have the nerve to write what followed. Or it could be an attempt at a clarkie.

So at what stage did he mention our game?

He didn't, nor mufc or Chelsea or Leicester or spurs.
It was a plug for all the games being on BT this week.
The producer whispers in the ear of Darren Fletcher, at the same time as a caption appears on screen. Fletcher then stated as a way if introduction that Scouse were playing Madrid, he then mentioned games were also on Weds and Thurs.
As an aside Fletcher supports Rags , but is pretty professional in his commentary though always too verbose.
I am sure BT want to maximize viewing figures so they advertise them during matches.
The bias is often obvious, I just didn't detect it on that occasion, maybe you are right , was just my observation.
