According to the presenter on Sky Sports last night "Liverpool can return to the top of the league with a win!"

My maths say they cannot.
Two possibilities:
1) Dippers claim "it means more" to them so perhaps they get 5 points for a win.
2) A win takes them above City and anybody above City (for the past ten seasons) is generally at the top.

This morning on Sky News, the person doing the sports round-up said that Liverpool can move up the table with a win over West Ham (no mention of what West Hammer could do) and then went onto say ‘City in 2nd, at the moment’.

Thought it was quite a weird way of reporting but then realised that they were telling me what the outcome would be. Just put my house on Red.

Goals on Sunday certainly haven’t shown the Gabby penalty incident, maybe talk about it tomorrow on ref watch.

Just listened to this. On both goals he sounds gutted and you can just tell in his voice. Contrast this to when United or Liverpool score and hear the difference. He doesn’t even try and hide it like rat boy does.
To be fair, if I have to endure then then I would prefer then to be honest........

Agree 100%
He went in studs showing on a player who was actually off the field of play!
How the feck that didn’t deserve a red card is beyond reason.
Had that been one of ours on Ronaldo I dare say the outcome and following outcry would have been v different.
Cut it a different way, if that had been Balotelli..................

Neville was very complimentary towards City yesterday, so no complaints about him from me. Tyler however is another matter. Has anyone noticed if he sounds so gutted when other teams score, or is it just us where he adds to his blatant disappointment by adding moronic comments about Bernardo's back heel being arrogant. There must have been dozens of players this season who have played a back heel, some better than others. How many of them has Tyler signalled out?
Thought exactly the same thing and shouted out it’s football skill you clown.

After the derby demolition I took myself off to the bar to watch chelski v burnley and was pleasantly surprised that burnley equalised but the commentator had me a bit confused(BEIN sports) when he said that’s the first goal chelski have conceded in open play at the bridge. Pretty sure Jesus won us the game there in September.

The absolute mess of the after game yesterday. Keane and Ratboy unable to utter any truths, Micah making a fool of himself over the 2nd goal and then shouting for the remainder.

I have zero problem with them discussing United for a solid 45 minutes it reflects as per normal on that weird arrogant football club and the sheep that follow them. In fact I encourage it.

SKY and the rags are screwed they can’t just say it as it is, the manager is out of his depth this year as the club yet again needed to prove just how big and relevant they are.
Last season he did have a system a system of decent players working as a unit but because of their over inflated ego and Baconfaces continued over-arcing they signed a player they didn’t need who wouldn’t work in that system and it has undermined Solskjaer and eroded what goodwill he had with the other players. may they continue treading on eggshells pandering to the masses as it continues to unravel.

As for City, magnificent, and we have a wonderful grounded fan base who wouldn’t allow our intelligence to be insulted.

They on the other hand are a cliche, DNA, the United Way it is all bollocks a created myth, like any lie eventually becomes the truth, may they continue on the path of thinking they are different & special, cut from a cloth above. It is tying them in knots.

just agree they will get it right and be back, no need for rash decisions etc find yourself a quiet room and have a chuckle to yourself and thank your lucky stars.

I think its more likely if the incidents had a direct bearing on the result of the match they would have been discussed. Its a bit ridiculous to suggest otherwise. The story of the day was how bad United were and the gulf between the two sides.
Is it bollocks ridiculous. Ronaldo not getting sent off could we’ll have had a bearing on the game and the scums next 3. The penalty would have been discussed for any other team.

I personally think you're expecting too much there from a highlights show that has limited time and multiple games to cover. They got the important bits: City good, United bad.
You may be right, but unfortunately these key non penalty incidents are NEVER discussed when we don’t get them, but always are if it’s the other way round

Wanting to gloat and read any and all media coverage of yesterdays master class I typed in Daily Mirror Manchester City.
This is what came up on their opening page.

Manchester City lost their Premier League crown to Liverpool in 2020. The previous year City became the first English team to complete the domestic treble of league, FA Cup and League Cup.
In February 2020 UEFA announced that Man City would be banned from the Champions League and Europa League for two seasons for falsely inflating sponsorship deal values to meet Financial Fair Play regulations. The club successfully overturned the ruling.

Well that is the last time I log into their gutter outlet.

Just been on YouTube on the PC, usually Talksport put up conversations from the previous day, either the same night or morning before.

There’s radio silence (excuse the pun) from yesterday.

It’s never normally like that.
