I don't think the majority of Blues go along with this "the league is done and dusted" routine the media are peddling.Whilst it's a great position to be in , and the the football we play is usually a thing of beauty ,not many of us will be celebrating until it's a mathematical certainty, as with Peps mindset. I think many are setting us in the desperate hope of a fall,or even a " slippy" moment.
This is what seperates our supporters from Dippers , they were singing "we're gonna win the league" in November we know shit like that comes back to bite you in the arse.

Hahaha, that's a very telling, very personal 'head in the sand and it will go away' approach. I think we may have broken him.

Sorry johnny, I think you and your media co-conspirators have already played that card to death - and the law of diminishing returns means you won't stop the public opinion - they want to see the most beautiful football ever played.
Ah its Jonny Nic, a junior WhatsApp group member who has already been dismantled by Rabin in the past for his bad faith shitposting. A freelancer who is following the money and sucking up to the big boys.

As a City fan who makes a living from technical drawing, I guess Jonny Nicholson really must dislike me.
Maybe if Johnny and his ilk concentrated on the League of Ireland and lobbied for some investment the best young Irish players may stay at home instead of heading to England and Scotland. Interesting he doesnt share his views on other major European leagues.

I wonder why they never focus on the question "Why are CFC, Dippers and the Arse ten points plus behind. Why not put a searchlight on the footballing deficiencies in those teams who can't keep up. Much easier and a measure of innate laziness to go for the team who's leading by a margin. Doesn't surprise me that it was never a problem in other seasons when it was another team which raced ahead. Then it was a case of Team X being better than the rest of the pack.
Primarily I'd guess because they don't like the answer and they know the fans of the other clubs won't like being told either. This isn't a one season phenomenon, it hasn't happened just since Pep arrived, it isn't even a five year phenomenon. It's been in operation since the day the Sheik took over. It's happened and been managed with military precision by executives with outstanding business acumen all based on recruiting the best people, giving them the best environment in which to operate and then allowing them to do their job. This has been happening under the noses of Ed Woodward, Henry, Levy, Kronke, Laurence and every other CEO and, rather than step up and improve their own clubs from the inside, they've sought to derail City from the outside. Sheik Mansour is happy to invest billions, confident that his investment will make billions (which it has). The likes of FSG, Kronke and the Glazers still want 'the billions', they just want them without the investment or the hard work that goes with it.

He is English tbf, from the north east iirc but pretends to support some minor Scottish team.
He is a true hack in the worst sense of the word, writes whatever for whoever as long as it is precisely what they want. And in this case an Irish newspaper will always want City hatchet jobs to play to their predominantly redshirt readership.
Nicolson occasionally pollutes the otherwise decent Football365 where he has previous

It’s called buying wisely you daft cunts
Spot on. I'd bet a pound to a pinch of shit that most of these bitter hacks had never heard of the likes of Ederson, Zinchenko, Rodri, Fernandinho, Jesus, Dias, and Laporte or the recently departed Torres before City signed them. KDB was widely regarded as a Chelsea flop who wouldn't succeed at City. Some of them said they'd never heard of Yaya and Silva when City signed them either.

Don't forget our Zabba.
Some knew about Yaya but nowt about football as their headlines at the time show.

These insinuations appear so regularly in The Guardian, both among staff writers and freelancers such as Wilson, and the language used is so similar on each occasion that it can only be the result of a deliberate editorial line their sports journalists are being encouraged to push at every opportunity. It's clearly done in the utmost bad faith, as well, as they continually present highly contentious assertions as fact.

What irritates me is the nauseatingly smug level of moral authority they try to project when doing this. Be a set of shameless fake-news liars in the modern style if you really want to, chaps, but don't try and fucking gaslight us. We're not stupid enough to fall for it and we see right through you, vile racist propagandists that you are.
You are absolutely right with this comment. I am a Guardian reader but they have become unbearably smug on a number of issues of late. I rarely click on any of their sports comments or reports anymore, occasionally will read a City match report but only if it's an away game as otherwise it's written by Jackson. Genuinely believe one of my whippets can write better than him. Can't remember when I last read anything by Ronay, he writes the same nonsense about us all the time.

It was weird after yesterday’s wacky races the two teams players and management all went on about how entertaining the game was and this was picked up by the media elevating 90 minutes full of mistakes to the greatest game of the season.

They know the game is up and are going to now push a boring City narrative.

All a bit embarrassing for them really.

This!!

But of course there was no problem when the rags won 13 of the first 21 Premier League titles wasn't it?
And no problem when Liverpool won 7 out of 10 Division 1 titles. All the talk was of the brilliance of the winners rather than tears for those trailing in their wake.
Is City's continued PL domination boring? I'm not sure, give me another 20 seasons like the last five and I'll let you know.

Only if you are on the receiving end of it! And wasn't Wolves 'n Palace a struggle, and we didn't get into gear at Haringey. Those games were mighty struggles! This is just another article by some chancer who is clearly addressing a minority from London, Trafford 'n Anfield.
They see what they want to see and nothing more and as you say in a later comment it is laziness, a need to fill column inches in a 24 hour news society. What can we write about that's easy? I know something derogatory about City.
