Yet they’ve broken more ffp rules than the rest of the football league put together, sold the ground on to a family member to avoid further sanctions, and still pay one player £37k Pw. If it was an ex City player in charge the narrative would be completely different
totally agree, his bias is off the scale, can't stand to listen his drivel so don't

Ironic really - the ones mainly moaning about it are the 2 sets of red plastic fans, but they only chose to support those 2 clubs because of their respective eras of domination.
Of course. You can understand how desperate many reds fans are. Imagine if you have no natural connection to the club (for example, your mother was Irish and dad was Spanish....), you don't live there, you don't have family who played for them, and the only reason you supported them was because they were good and won cups. When they're not good anymore and don't win anything, what have you got left? It's a bereavement for them!

This morning i thought I would read the rag tops but like city at the moment they were boring so then went on to the “365” and clicked on a city article by some bloke called Ian King and wasn’t disappointed. He set out a nice piece about our negative and boring football that every other fan hates and we are pissing the league too early. Although he did add for balance the rags in their pomp played swashbuckling football. So I left and went on google and read a piece by “the sport illustrated “ and I’m sure it’s the same tosser because barring a slightly different narrative it looked like for like. So reading this I must be bored out of my head watching the blues play football that’s off another planet.

Just heard the Wally with the brolly on sky sports say that Liverpool never moan and make excuses about players being tired and absent from the side. He was having a go at Tuchel, but dreary me has he not listened to Klopp’s pressers, he does nothing but moan and make excuses. The only manager who doesn’t moan is Pep.

It's like someone sent out a memo saying "Don't forget lads. This week we're moving on from the state-owned, unlimited resources narrative and highlighting how boring City are and how unhealthy their dominance is. You can choose whether to write about the football being boring or City winning being emotionally enpty. Or you can shoehorn both in.

There's a prize for the best effort."

They moan about it being too windy, the keepers feet being too cold, the grass being too long, the lines on the pitch being too big. Apart from that those pesky dippers get on with it and never complain.

Sixth title in 11 years sounds nicer ( should we do it of course and a long way to go ! ).

I was thinking along the same lines.

It’s not coincidence that these articles all appear at the same time.

It’s co-ordinated.

Goldstein on talkSPORT asked a ridiculously leading question as to whether Rooney’s season at Derby would surpass Pep’s at City this season even if we win the title, were Rooney to keep Derby up which would be, according to Daft Andy, “one of the greatest achievements in the history of football”
I think the whole narrative around Rooney as poisoned/hyped as the one around City.

If he loses its the owners fault. If he wins he is a genius because he's doing it despite the owners. Yet another misinformation bubble set to burst somewhere further down the line.

Unless there is something I dont know about him but I dont see the ability in his managership as much as maybe Lampard or Gerrard, they appear to have real ideas and gravitas to back it up.

I disagree. Unlike Tuchel or Klopp he has not moaned or made excuses. He has sold the better players whilst bringing together a bunch of misfits and academy products and overachieved.
While we don't know his coaching skills we must acknowledge his ability to get the best out of the resources he has left.
Will he fuck up on a personal level again, probably.

Well thats where I dont know I suppose. I've watched them 2 or 3 times. I didnt know he had to sell his best players.

The boring narrative is boring in it’s self, it is a stupid and ridiculous argument and frankly childish. They never, they being the media, said this when the rags were so dominant for all those years.

If they can convince football fans that the problem with City is they are plastic & got no fans you can convince the world that Peps football is boring.

The highest scoring record breaking City is all a bit blaaaah. Goebels was right.

The problem with the ‘Pep’s football is boring’ narrative is that it was the same pundits who were telling us that his Barcelona side played the best football in the history of the game. You can’t have it both ways.

If they had a backbone they couldn’t.

And to think he was doing it all for free….or should that be 90k Pw paid for by 32red (initially) the fact he only deferred payments during administration probably means he’s still squeezing em for the same amount. Can you imagine the uproar if Peps wage was paid by The Abu Dhabi National oil company? Or Vinnie deferred wages at Anderlecht? But Rooney is the patron saint of Derbyshire for getting them to the equivalent of mid table & getting the drinks in every now & again, so what if he sleeps at the training ground, it’s only because his missus is tired of him taking young girls back to his hotel room
