He'll be playing for Engerland keeping Phil and Jack on the bench...I know he is a wonderful talent, but the way everyone goes on about Harvey Elliott is way beyond ridiculous
LMAO
Even after being dropped Grealish came on with a smile, played for the team and went off applauding the crowd.Different view from Sky Sports , Grealish "dropped" but Fakeronaldo was "starting from the bench " last night , that place must be rammed with bitter Rags & Dippers , its been over a decade of their negativity and it is getting them nowhere . We are still top of the league
The steam from their piss and the salty tears must be affected their eyesight ,we play the best football ever seen and they just can't take it ..................take it , take it , take it.
Some would say that they subscribe to the Mail despite their hate of City football, there’s other things worth reading. I’d say that they’re wrong. The fucking Mail again (just got in from the bar I where watched it) and wanted to read the story I'd just seen............................. Nothing...........I'm sure we played........... did we?......... you wouldn't know it if you read this bog roll.
The match report is in the sport section of the online app rather than the pl section, no comments when I looked. The fucking Mail again (just got in from the bar I where watched it) and wanted to read the story I'd just seen............................. Nothing...........I'm sure we played........... did we?......... you wouldn't know it if you read this bog roll.
Martin Samuel, I wish he would move papers so I can read his column again, I won't log onto the mail again. Some would say that they subscribe to the Mail despite their hate of City football, there’s other things worth reading. I’d say that they’re wrong.
Nor has it changed. The lying bile they issue about City is just doing the job of the red shirts for them. From the current edition of Private Eye
BITTER TO THE END...
THE British journalist Andrew Jennings,
who died last month, won an international
reputation by exposing corruption at the top of FIFA and the IOC (see last Eye).
From Mexico to the Netherlands, newspapers have run long and prominent obituaries. In Germany the magazine Sport & Politics rushed out a special 80-page Jennings issue withtributes from fellow-hacks, lawyers, athletes and administrators - including even a gritted-teeth so-farewell-then from Sepp Blatter. ("I could notcall him a friend," admits the disgraced ex-president of FIFA. "At the same time, I have great respect for him and his work.") Closer to home, the Times and Telegraph and i have paid their respects at length, And the Guardian? Not a dicky bird.
When Aidan White, former head of the International Federation of Journalists, tried to interest the Grauniad in an obituary, he was advised instead to submit an item for "Other Lives", the slot for brief notices about non-tamous people.
After consulting Jennings's widow White declined the suggestion, saying it wouldn't do justice to Jennings and his contribution to journalism. He showed them the Washingion Post obituary, which ran to 1,200 words; but to no avail.
Why can't the Grauniad make space? Perhaps
there's a clue in a tribute by former UEFA official Alex Phillips in the new issue of Sport & Politics: "Another place that he trod, where few others dared to tread, was criticising his fellowJournalists if they were weak or got captured by those they were supposed to be reporting on -abreach of journalistic Omerta surely? He did not
Care, because journalists that were part of the game were part of the Problem”
Jennings criticised Guardian hacks who he thought were getting too cosy with sporting big wigs - and it seems the paper hasn’t forgotten or forgiven
I was about to post the same thing. Fucking ridiculous. You'ld never see that kind of sentence in a match report for any other club. How is this comment from Simon Stone's match report on the BBC website in any way necessary / relevant?
" 'We are not the best team in the world. The best team in the world is Chelsea, the best team is Palmeiras. We are not the best and I don't care.'
European champions Chelsea, who currently sit third in the table, play Brazilian side Palmeiras in the Club World Cup Final on Saturday.
That is a trophy Manchester City have never competed for because they have not won the Champions League in order to qualify."

BBC doing yet another United related documentary and yet again it's yet another about Rooney this time about drinking.
And yet again he Is going going to be on Breakfast in a trailer pushing it.
WTF would they do without United?
Campaign for
United on
National
Television
And here Madloaf.I was about to post the same thing. Fucking ridiculous. You'ld never see that kind of sentence in a match report for any other club.
Think you overlooked his need to explain in print to football supporters..If his report had been published in Angling Times or the Guardian he might have needed the explanation. I agree the rest of the article was very flattering. Its almost as though he has been told to behave but managed to get a couple of barbs in that he felt he could justify to the mandarins if questions were asked. You know exactly why its relevant if you read the article. According to the article Peps comments were ‘we are not the best team in the world, that is Chelsea, that is Palmeiras. But we don't care.
If those comments are accurate Stone is only providing context to the reader as for the casual observer its unlikely people would understand the reference to Palmeiras.
He also wrote this about the side in the report:
City's fluidity was so far removed from the old-school English tactics of the past and when another defender, Aymeric Laporte, controlled the ball on his chest and rolled a shot narrowly wide of the far post, it felt like a throwback to 'Total Football' and the Netherlands' 1970s golden era under coach Rinus Michels.
Often there is a reason to complain at some of the coverage but not on this occasion. Not sure why people want to find perceived slights about the club instead of focusing on the high praise the side received in this article. Probably more positive than anything wrote in the post match thread.
The old dears at pensioner's whist drives all over the country will be interested but not as much as Rooney's interested in them. It's an Amazon documentary, not a BBC one.
I'm not expecting Nugent to do anything else but simper at him, but the BBC aren't going to turn down an early interview with him though - there are quite a lot of people who will be interested, not just MU fans.
