Who at the Regulator's will decide how close a person needs to be to another person to be deemed sufficiently responsible for that other person's actions ? One thing's certain. It can't and won't be someone independent.

In short, Oliver Holt isn't stupid enough not to know all that. The guy is, simply, a ****.

I for one was astonished to learn that City’s owners are regarded as the most damaging to the game. I mean it’s not as if the survey was designed to appeal to fans of the clubs most adversely affected by City’s emergence as English football’s most dominant force, and who just happen to also have the largest fanbases, was it? Doesn’t the fact that Newcastles owners got voted second for having done the most damage to the game despite only being around for 3 months really undermine this?

Even if you believe that pumping lots of money into the game or being owned by people of ill repute is destroying the game, it is absolutely impossible to say Newcastle’s owners have done more in a few weeks than Abramovich in decades.
