Cheapest were around £250-300 each i think. In a country where minimum wage is around £7 per day.

5K, 7K, 15K, 20 K, 22K and 25K THB (120-600 GBP) but, yes, against a minimum daily wage of 300 baht (in theory), pretty exorbitant.

Ironically, both clubs issued statements "apologising" to people who had already bought tickets at full price, not for the crazy prices to begin with, but the fact that tickets were being sold at a discount.

Modern football, eh?

I paid 800 baht when we played there haha!
Around 70 to the £ back then as well, not the low 40's as of now.

Yep, pay licence fee money to send their chief football writer to Thailand for a meaningless pre season friendly between their redshirt darlings, while totally ignoring one of the biggest names in world football being publicly unveiled just a couple of miles from Media City

Just ignoring us hoping again and again and again and again and again that we go away, imagine if the rags or red scousers were unveiling haaland they’d be blanket coverage..

As far as the taxman is concerned, it is the tax haven element that worries them most. Players should not be paid this route as it is the fruit of employment. (Hence we repatriated our players’ commercial rights when informed by HMRC such a scheme was illegal.) For agents there may be more leeway. It should be noted that “offshore” could be EU.
