The funny thing is that they don't understand that the big majority of the kids today are City fans and they care a lot. As soon the media will understand that good news about City is good for the business it will be over for Miguel & co.
I agree with this and for me its the bigger picture that the media forget. I understand that the bullshit they write annoys people but as you said the kids don't care. in the real world no young person decides they couldn't possibly support a club due to off the pitch crap some no marks write. I'm in Cardiff and my sons best friend is doing a sports degree and coaches football teams of all ages he mentioned a while ago that City shirts had been getting more and more popular but this year the teams are a sea of light blue especially Haaland, KDB and Grealish shirts. I think the media are underestimating how we are winning over the next generation of fans as well as on the pitch.

I've just watched this, I know it is The Athletic and people here generally don't like Sam Lee, but I think he's been very correct in giving his journalistic opinion about those stupid PL charges and how they are debated on social media in particular. Chappy as a moderator doesn't stir shit up, but this other fella, I have no clue who he is, is just not having it and we are already guilty in his book.

I thought his arguments, reasoning and grasp of the issues were piss poor.

It's a sad thing but kids today, those without family allegiance, follow the player not the club.
KDB a recognised world class talent. We all knew that Sergio, Yaya and Silva were but KDB has a bigger profile. Saw him interviewed on German TV after the Madrid game and that made me appreciate how he's seen outside the UK bubble
Erling is our first true superstar. I don't know how many "fans" he brings but in commercial value they're gold.
Jack is not yet at the same level as Erling but on his way - maybe the next Beckham in the commercial world. If/when he gets a "trophy" WAG we'll see him parading the catwalks. As long as he performs on the pitch, it's alright by me.

we need that Qatar takeover at the old toilet. imagine Delaney, Liew either do a 180 on their hate on Arab countries or risk going against their beloved fools.

win-win

or will they find a tight road and come up with "this is how you do it the right way as an arab owner" ahhaahaha
That Liew fella is one boring twat. I'd change jobs if a football club was affecting me That much!!

Phil Neville doesn't have his own thread I don't think, so I'll drop this here.

Neville feeling the pressure after a recent defeat.

MLS: Inter Miami manager Phil Neville swears at interrupting reporter during media conference - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/65683411
The most deluded man in football - ten years of managerial failures and the penny still hasn’t dropped he’s not very good at this.

I am a simple soul, I like my Doctor Who with a long scarf and a floppy hat, like my football shirts "loose fitting" ( white shorts!) and a nice stress free game where we cream the opposition.

It does appear that various useful idiots are trying to sully our amazing season by regurgitating all the shite about the charges. The nonce releasing the beeb piece as we clinched the title was a particular low point.

As I understand it we're being accused of hiding or disguising owner investment, even though we were cleared definitively by CAS of inflating sponsorship deals.

To me these don't seem to hold a hell of a lot of wrongdoing. We have not been charged with anything criminal, rather that we've broken the hastily changed rules that were brought in to ruin us and stop us competing with the cartel.

I note with no surprise whatsoever that the Juventus story is barely mentioned by the venal press. They have been docked 10 points for illegal/ undervalued transfers and payments.

I believe criminal charges are still being considered. You would think that the throbbers foaming at the mouth about us would be equally forthright about the proven criminal activities at Juventus? Right!??? CL bans, fines imposed, transfer bans??? Right??????

The silence as they say is fucking deafening!!!!!!!!!!
