We will always be City inspite of the shit we've had to put up with on the pitch in years gone by and from the media over the past decade . As for the stunningly biased, sheep like press, for some years we've ' never cared for what they do, never cared for what they know' (actually that should be what they don't know) because really 'Nothing else matters!!'.

Even if he’s basing it on the pitifully simplistic metric of trophies then he’s saying that over 90% of English clubs (including as at 2008, Leeds, Preston and West Ham) have unremarkable histories. What an ignorant and arrogant view to hold.

As you’ve alluded to before, there aren’t many clubs with a long history as compelling, at times eccentrically self destructive and at others downright bizarre and unpredictable as that of Manchester City FC.
Perhaps more than most, we are essentially The Human Condition FC
That someone paid to write for a living wilfully chooses to ignore this, and to instead equate ‘history’ with ‘trophies’ like the worst kind of modern football twitter troll, shows what a shameless bad faith hypocrite he is.
For further proof, look at his shamelessly indulgent article on Boehly and Chelsea. A white American owner is essentially treated as a cheeky nephew
