The media are poison. We should not expect anything from them in the short to medium term. It will take a generation for the current mob to retire and for a new generation to replace them. Additionally, rival fans will never be happy about us if we are winning and they are not. We've gatecrashed their entitlement party. Hopefully, when the PL charges are defended successfully by City later this year, the narrative is that City have been cleared of the main charges without the technicalities in the CAS ruling (e.g. Time barring). Otherwise, the poisonous media will regularly throw out headlines that rival fans will repeat ad nauseum on social media without really understanding what they mean as they have done no research of their own. The media and rival fans are not our friends and that will never change. Onwards and upwards.

Some journalists seem a little sensitive, Jamie Jackson from the Guardian blocked me on Twitter for this comment on his City match report yesterday.

You'd make a good United fanzine writer!

This was his opening paragraph: "This was another of those Manchester City displays that are becoming less of a curio: flat, discordant and ending in a scrappy win that would have been a blazing, rampant victory in previous seasons."
