so what do we do ? We can't just let them waltz in , look after them give them a lovely lunch and then let them print lies and falsehoods. We need to identify who these weasels are and confront them on their journalism. If they dont listen, ban them. Or is that too simplistic or unrealistic ?

Just stop them at the main entrance and tell them their press pass has been revoked. Simples!!!

People legitimately upset here that meaningless preseason friendlies played in the middle of the night that weren't even on TV only warranted one article in the BBC? I mean, come on.
City received exactly the coverage that the match warranted. However the fact that the BBC sent a dedicated reporter to follow United around the world like a bad smell was certainly not justified.

Contrast and compare to the article about Sheikh Mansour, City, MCC, Manchester Life, and East Manchester from the Guardian.

Contrast and compare.

The London champagne socialists like this article.

Hahahahahaha that’s hilarious

You only went and made me look the article up since you didn't give a summary but it's actually not their usual total nonsense. It's about how we've strengthened Arsenal & Chelsea whilst strengthening ourselves, and it's not wrong (stopped clocks and all that mind).
It is perhaps the only recorded example of the Echo suggesting something might not be in the Dippers favour, so a very unusual article.

However is is still standard Echo fare in that they are

1. Complaining
it is somehow unfair that we have sold 3 players with Klopp being quoted as saying we had 'given' their rivals these players

2. Completely illogical argument
If we have strengthened our top 6 rivals then it is surely just as much a problem for us as it is for the Dippers, as we both have to play them the same number of times in a season. Why does it make it more difficult for the Dippers in particular?
Also they think it is unfair when we buy top quality players so how can it also be unfair when we sell 3 top quality players???

And the biggest investor in the former Olympics site is the Qatari Investment Authority which has invested £40bn in central London alone. It makes Sheikh Mansour's housing deal look like chicken-feed. Meanwhile London has one of the worst shortages of affordable housing in the world with 250,000 on the waiting list. But, of course, it's all ok because it is happening in London where most of the Guardian posh boys live.
