To be fair, that’s not quite what she said. She described winning anything other than the lot as ‘failure’, based on her perception of City’s self desire to win all 3 trophies, not because winning the PL or FA Cup in isolation constituted actual failure

Agreed but every big club should start the season with the mentality of winning everything they enter. Of course we want to win everything but if you gave me the option of just winning two trophies now I would take it. That wouldn’t mean the season is a failure. She is a no nowt gob on legs whose views are a joke. She is too simple to talk with nuance, she knew what she was saying.

What an absolute pile of fucking nonsense that’s got fuck all to do with the one main issue he glosses over. Those clubs were run terribly, certainly Oldham Athletic were. World class clubs? You just need to be bigger. If you’re at any of those clubs, Preston, Bolton, Blackburn, Blackpool, Wigan are all bigger. You’d think the two Manchester and Scouse clubs with their academies should be rich pickings with the cast off’s so surely they’re more of a benefit. Crewe and Oldham did well for a period in their histories with that tactic when they were better run.
