Carragher. to think football and society in general has dumbed down to this level. I suppose in music people used to listen to Tony Wilson and Bob Harris - but now hang on every word of Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden - a sad state of affairs.

You'd hope he has a vague idea - he's a pretty famous economist and among other roles was Newsnight's economic editor for years.
