Harris should be reporting that FFP has forced clubs to do deals where they can maximise their money.
Club EARNS £100m and spends £80m on 2/3 players. Despite said club being able to afford to spend much more 'rules' brought in by 'rivals' say that you can only spend what you earn!
It then buys 4/5 youngsters at a cost of £10m (a small amount in todays market) investing in their potential growth.
Some it works for, some we lose just like stocks and shares. BUT the wins (like Jack Harrison, Pablo Mari) make the deals worthwhile.
I don't pretend to understand BIG Business but what little I do know they look to maximise future profits by investment, just like individuals invest in the stock market.
So maybe Arris should be questioning why said club was forced to do this?
