Apparently there are many stories about Rughead of him being Arseholed somewhere and literally shitting himself that were suppressed by the Press under SAFs watch
I know of one, involving him losing about £2.5m IN ONE NIGHT in a casino. A journo got hold of this and spoke to his agent. The agent pleaded with the journo not to run the story, as his gambling (rather than him shagging around) was the big issue between him and Coleen. The journo said that he had to run the story but they agreed a compromise, whereby he would report a far lower amount, in return for the next exclusive (which was him being caught in a car with a girl, both drunk).

Not sure which incident it is but these were reported. Think it might be the Times one (which other papers also carried). https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/wayne-rooney-loses-65000-in-two-354404 https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/9ddd1188-38e7-11e7-8c42-97760aa22c36

I don’t really have a problem with that because it’s all relative. You’d have to be able to justify your pick and De Zerbi has done well with the resources he has.

There has been an anyone but City bias in the end of season managerial awards though and generally I would expect the league winning manager to have the strongest claim. Chuck in a couple of finals and there really should be no contest this season
Agree with the first part but isn't this the PL manager of the year? Other competitions won't and shouldn't come into it.

It comes down to personal opinions in the end and except for the odd (emphasis on odd) pundit I've no beef with whatever their choice is.

It was notable yesterday that when Jabba the Hut, sorry, Garth Crooks put out his team of the season, he selected Haaland up front. In his musings, he applauded the fact that Haalnd is in now at City, but actually said, "...instead of that wretched false nine...." system we used to have.

You know - the very successful one that won us the league last year!
Wretched my arse.

Quite a few teams/managers exceeded expectations this season, no problem with some thinking maybe Gary O'Neil, or De Zerbi warrant the award.

The ones giving it to Pep are just covering their backs because of the possibility of the treble. If we manage it and they'd picked someone else it would show them for what they are. If we 'only' end up with one or two trophies they'd be giving the award to someone else for certain.

You are right there is an issue about football finance and wealth distribution.

But the likes of Delaney, Ronay, Harris have no interest in making the game fairer. If they would they would point out how the cartel fixed the game to hoover up the wealth.

So while they go down the path of criticising those teams with foreign owners they don’t touch upon how to make the game a more level playing field. So effectively in the absence of real change they are content for the teams in red to rule.

The hypocrisy is clear and obvious
Yes I agree totally with this. Those you mention are so blinkered - they can't write about anything else. They should be addressing the whole issue of equity and creating a fairer football environment. There is enormous scope for investigating this issue but sadly 'journalists' are not interested. Most jump on the 'sports-washing' band wagon and never question the motives of the red top clubs to stop City and anyone else who has the potential to become a serious player. It's difficult to come to any other conclusion than they see their role to protect the status quo and they will either ignore any contrary evidence or distort factual information until it informs their agenda.

It’s like every manager who didn’t get sacked could have been manager of the year.

You only have to look at past winners to see the bias , the year mancini won us an historical title pardew won it , pellegrinis title pullis won it ! Sergio wins golden boot and doesn't even make team of the year ! Another rarity

Got sent this.
Wish we could open a libel case against these cunts who peddle the same tropes day in, day out.

He’s genuinely disturbing and clearly has serious issues.
