He doesn't actually write these. He cuts out the letters from ALL of his failed novels and pieces them together with glue (kids glue - he's not got the sense to use anything else).

Jamie, if you're reading this, I think you're a fucking gimp.
I think you are being kind with the gimp comment

Last night I watched back the entire BBC coverage from the start of the build-up to the end of the programme.

Tonight I’m currently watching the entire ITV coverage.

Both have been very good at showing City’s history in the FA Cup, especially the BBC who had better pre-match videos in general (that poem at the start with footage from derbies and last FA Cup finals for both clubs was brilliant!). Both have added in some good Manchester music clips.

What I noticed is there was absolutely no treating City as an inferior club by any of the four presenters and pundits on either channel, that I have felt from the media for years. They were all very fair and treated the final as if it was between two giants of football.

I especially liked this quote from Sam Matterface on ITV, [the atmosphere was electric at that point as the teams were about to come out];

This is terrific! Well, the old Merseyside occasion of 1986, the Treble Busters of ’77, and ’96, remember that? That was huge… but might this be the biggest FA Cup final of all-time? Definitely, maybe! It is a special occasion and Wembley is absolutely thronging. A city split red and blue; a city steeped in culture, music and industry, and steeped in football heritage.

‘Well, the dominant teams of Busby and Sir Alex to the defiance of the Joe Royle era, and the ’60s success of Joe Mercer. Two iconic clubs that gave us moments from Agüero, Ronaldo, Robson, Summerbee, Best, Yaya and Cantona and who both at times embraced Tevez, Law and Kidd.

It is the first ever all-Manchester FA Cup Final’.

Top banana, that!

BBC’s coverage has a worse picture and sound quality. ITV has much sharper visuals and audio, but you have to deal with adverts.

Overall, I think both did a cracking job and were very good about City.

The poem was great - it’s based on this if you’re not already aware about Tony Wilson

Apparently, the decision for the penalty against City was just that his hand was above the shoulder, which makes it automatic. The distance was small, he didn't make himself bigger, the movement of the arm was natural given his body position. You only need to look at where Wan-Bissaka's arm is, in the same sequence, almost mimicking the same motion completely.

If fairness, most of the match reactions have said it's a rubbish rule and nobody wants to see a pen given for that going forward.

I don't think theirs was a handball because his arm was low. Which kind of shows how stupid that rule is. Neither should be pens for me.

The ITV commentary called the KDB penalty shout a lot differently than I did though and I haven't seen much talk about that. Fred put his leg across a player in a 50-50, causing that player to go down in the box. You can't shield a ball before you have possession of it.

Oh and Casemiro could have easily have been sent off, for that stud rake down Akanji's shin.

City weren't at their best, united had 12 men at times with that ref and yet City were still the better team and fully deserved the win. The positivity from them considering all that, is quite funny.

Guardian binned. The smarmy fuckwits that 'write' about football (especially Ickle old Ciddy) know nothing except how to work their target audience to milk clicks and ensure foaming at the mouth. Soon Newcastle will indeed be in their sights. Journalism my arse..... and they still keep begging for donations.
Fucked it right off.
I honestly don’t think Newcastle will get half the shite we have done over the years. They arent rivals or share a city with one of the red tops

Great film which has actually been shown again twice on TV this week. That part is one of my favourite bits. "What's so fucking funny about me?? You think I'm a clown here to amuse you?" I like it because it reminds me of a guy I knew from Wythenshawe I worked with on the ships, Melvyn. He was witty, funny and great company but totally schitzo. Nobody knew when he'd flip but he often did and without warning. Like in the film he'd be laughing one minute then imagine someone had said something about him or his family. Then he wanted to kill them. It was both funny and frightening to watch, I often distracted him while the poor recipient of his anger escaped.

yeah yeah, now go home and get your fucking shine box
Isn't that from Casino rather than Goodfellas?

Not the gif by the way, that's definitely Goodfellas but the shinebox quote isn't in that scene where Ray Liota is laughing at (or with) Joe Pesci.
