I know I'm on a self imposed media ban but I just have to say that this is the first time I've been glad that the Local News folk from BBC are on strike! I would have thought that our own area news would back a local team but they never do. :-(

p.s. I agree with the strike by the way because we deserve local news and they deserve (in the most part) to have local jobs. :-)
it's not just local news that will be affected, they will decide what you hear on a national basis. I don't think it's wise for anyone to think the bbc, itv or sky have our interests as a priority.

The OTB podcast asked listeners (mainly rags and dippers) if they were looking forward to the final, most said not interested because they weren't European powerhouses. I think Inter have only won it four times to the rags three, but then Graham Hunter came on a said he looked forward to every final and enjoys watching Citys beautiful football. He then went on extensively to say Rudiger should have seen red for his assault that left us without Kev for most of the game. I can't remember anyone else from the msm being outraged at the way Chelsea got away with that and Rudiger being in possession of a winners medal. Hunter isn't City's biggest fan but said he has a lot of respect for Pep and unlike most journos he actually enjoys interviewing him.
Fans talk bollocks don't they. They are not interested in the final because City and Inter are not European powerhouses? I translate that to mean that they are feeling very upset that their team is not in the final to the extent that their logic has been irreparably impaired. In effect, they are doomed. I will drink to that.

Hunter absolutely adores Pep, to the point where his love for Pep would overrule any dislike he had for the club Pep was managing.
He certainly knows anyone asking Pep the usual moronic English media questions is liable to be treated with contempt.

Just our treasured club correspondent promoting this hit piece against us on the eve of our biggest ever game. The insult of having reporters who support our biggest rival cover us is just so unique - it literally happens to no other club.

The Athletic’s podcast preview of the final is very downcast. One of the people who they chose to talk about us claims that City make him feel nothing; empty. Another of them claims that he knows City fans who preferred it when we were in league one.

Could they not have had at least one City perspective talking positive about the game?
