By the same rule the PL would be shit without City because without them it would be a procession for Liverpool. It's not City's fault Liverpool are PL bottlers.

The press & the hard of thinking don’t actually realise this. Without either, it’s a procession for the other

Up to the rest to catch up mate

He does have a valid point. At the end of the match, everyone watching it must have thought how both teams have been funded.

The c*nts final paragraph.

So, three games into the season, only Arsenal are left with a perfect record and the more sanguine of City’s rivals will draw heart from the unexpected vulnerability they demonstrated. The less optimistic will note how ominously impressive City’s fightback was. And neutrals will feel blessed to have witnessed a magnificently entertaining draw – while trying their best not to think what has funded it.

Apparently he’s a Sunderland fan.
He may have been a Sunderland fan once but nowadays he is just another highly-paid sneering Oxford University graduate like all the other London-based posh boys at the Guardian.

The Ian Wright clip is cut short, just as he says he's about to explain, but I think he'd make the same point.

I also agree. I really want Liverpool to fail, but without them it would have been a very dull five years. Who wants to win without any competition?

There is no point being a "big one", and while I want us to win everything, every year, we also need to lose to make those wins special.

Last week Haaland... Only 2 passes, 8 touches 1 of which was an assist!.. Motd2 fuckin stats up from 2013 tonight new signing touches or some fuckin shite laughable bullshit, haaland 3 games, 3 goals, 1 assist, about fuckin 5 passes and 15 touches!.... Get that golden Boot polished and haaland engraved on it drop it off at the reception!
The way they twist these stats is amazing. Apparently it is now seen as always good to out-run the other team. But Pep has always said he likes our opponents to do most of the running which is what happens when we keep the ball for 70 per cent of the game. Running a lot, especially without the ball, is not usually a sign of a great football team. No one works harder than City at recovering possession but just mindlessly running for 10kms is meaningless.

Sky are gagging for it it kick off tonight.

Resident dippers slagging off slabhead, PR37 and the club in general. Trying to play up the protests etc. Wouldn't be surprised if they pay a steward to open some gates.

Looking just here and the media in general I'm starting to wonder do we have any mainstream news sources that do their jobs and aren't chasing clicks for as revenue over actual in depth reporting of issues.

Deloony et al seem to have traded in any kind of integrity to keep their own cash streams coming in.
I think the mainstream media is finished as was demonstrated during the coverage of the Covid pandemic. Dishonesty is rife in papers from all parts of the political spectrum and the BBC. The Daily Mail and Guardian are just mirror images of each other and you can't trust either of them. We are in a transitional period where clickbait has replaced the truth. The problem is what is going to fill the vacuum?

I've worked for both and you're effing crazy if you think the Mail is no worse than the Guardian. The Mail routinely lies and doesn't give a monkey's. The Guardian has its flaws, for sure (its coverage of City, for instance), but it generally tells the truth about current affairs.
