I didn't hear Professor Stone yesterday. Maybe he's stopped covering city ?
Will more City fans leave Sly Sports this week and cancel their monthly subscription?

Jonathan who hasn’t got a f*cking clue!

I called it a day with Sky this week. Its the Competition to see how many times they can say Manchester United that finished me off especially after their win. Only interested in city anyway so will just watch at Etihad, city plus and BBC I player for general stuff. Be OK with that.

Why has the media never compared United's plight with City in the Swales era, when there was a role reversal? I am sure if it was the other way round comparisons would be made. It would be too much for those deluded, washed out journos, who cling to the hope that United will turn things round. They could not contemplate that United keep on digging a hole for themselves and could be in for another decade of turmoil with the odd minor revival.

For me the comparisons are uncanny.

Consistent protests and an owner who refuses to budge.

Overpaying massively on transfers as we did for Daley, Reeves, etc.

Constant changeover of managers and a ghost from the past in the background. We had Alison and Book, they got Solskjaer and Ferguson.

Ronaldo signing is Trevor Francis like signing. A desperate attempt to give fans hope and a player who performed well but left after one season, with the club in turmoil.

Casimiro reminds me of the the McMahon signing. Left Liverpool for City aged 30 looking for a big money contract. Apparently Niall Quinn said in his autobiography that he struggled to adapt to the less demanding standards at City, as he was used to the winning mentality at Liverpool.

Even Arnold with his indiscreet leaking of information to fans reminds me of Swales shouting his mouth off.

Some will say that I should not highlight their mistakes. I think they are too far gone to realise what they are doing wrong, even when it stares them in the face. Their pack of journo sycophants ignore the obvious comparisons because it would confirm they are flogging a dead horse, with further turmoil ahead. They would prefer to pander their clickbait agenda with stories about a white knight on the horizon or how Ten Haag can be their saviour (I suspect he likely to be a minor revival manager, like Bond and Kendal were at City).
To be fair to Skip, we had a fantastic team under his management. 1 point behind the all conquering Liverpool team in the 76/77 season. If Bell hadn't been seriously injured in the previous season, we could well have been league champions in that season. Unfortunately, Allison came back and tore that team apart.

It's quite staggering the sheer lack of thought and imagination that is put in to the Q's from the journos - the fact that we could all pretty much guess 90% in advance tells it own story.

I don't think Guardiola go's far enough - I'd quite like a graphics screen behind him allowing him to reflect what he actually thinks of the question or questioner whilst he answers them over sincerity................

Once in a blue moon he gets asked an intelligent question and you see the difference. You get the animation, the nodding head and the intense but positive expression. A bit like when he is engaged with the players. He still doesn't give too much away but you'd have thought at least one journo would have thought it might be worth trying the long game of listening and learning and asking considered questions to see where it gets them. I assume they're either too thick or too up themselves to try.

They're only there to pad out the pre-written stories and maybe get the occasional soundbite that they can sensationalise the feck out of.

I like this.

“Simon Stone, bbc“ calls out his name, as “total bellend” or “baconface-rimming leprechaun” appears on the screen behind Pep.

You could have a variety of different epithets for each hack and little button for the press officer or Pep himself to press to choose one.

Fans could send them in on a weekly basis. The most appropriate wins the chance to hurl rotting fruit or small to medium sized items of furniture at the churnalist of their choice.

My sentiments exactly - I think it's got legs...........

The questions from the UK press are mostly clickbait fishing expeditions. They all follow each other with the same angle. They have not changed even though all fans can see the press conference live.
