Dont get why people are having a hissy fit over a release clause. It protects both the club and they player. We are well known not to keep unhappy player anyway this just allows the club to say the fee is set at whatever the clause is pay up or move on. it also protects haaland for example if were not in champs league or winning things ect. dont see an issue with it personally.

Exactly, Pol Ballus said this on the podcast with Mooney and Lee, this is just putting City’s unofficial policy into writing.

For 2 years the club has been briefing that Bernardo can go for 80m if he wants to leave. That’s no different to him having an 80m release clause.

If Haaland turned around and said he wanted to leave in 2024 the club would let him if a decent offer came in and 200m is basically where that would be.

Could also be in line with what Pep will or will not be signing????

If we win the Champions League then the media is done. It's over. Everything they have wished for and worked extremely hard for in trying to stop us for the last decade has been futile and they know it. They will have nowhere else to go and as a club, team and fan base we can just laugh in their faces at their pathetic desperation. They know that day is not that far away now. Hence this load of old complete utter bollocks from them.
If we win the CL this season then Haaland will more than likely win the Ballon d’or at the rate he is going, two massive achievements for a young player, not to mention top scorer in the PL & CL & numerous player of the season awards. The summer (being tournament free) would be an ideal time to renegotiate for both parties, City, Pep, Haaland and the whole club would be sat at the very pinnacle of the game, should that happen I can’t see him wanting to leave for a very long time, who gives all that up to play in an inferior league, with all the drama and meddling on offer at either PSG Barca RM

Excellent post.

The key thing though is that the decision on whether to leave will end up with the player and Haaland can stay as long as he likes.
Exactly, reportage almost suggests that a move would become mandatory!
Twats, why on earth do they all think he would want to downgrade after just two seasons..?
Wishful thinking you whatsapp scumbags, just fuck OFF!
