They were some very bad lads went in the top left hand corner of the main stand in the mid eighties. Saw Everton and Spurs boys who had found their way in there get very bad beatings. No where was safe apart from the away sections for visiting fans at Maine Rd.The main stand was to be avoided at all costs when I was a kid. My mates dad used to get complimentary tickets off someone at the ground in there and I had the mispleasure a couple of times in the 80’s, it really was like the place people went to die to a young teenager.
