Media are now loving every second of this, trying to get a rise out of both fan bases.

It's become a very toxic encounter, I think the game at the Etihad could be worse and god forbid another Champions League matchup.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Premier League came down hard on both clubs. Big suspension for Klopp, huge fines for both, potential limited capacity etc...

Analysis - City annoyed by Klopp pre-game comments

Simon Stone, BBC Sport

"And it is also clear that many Blues fans are defensive in the extreme about how their club is funded."

And that Mr Slimey Stone is down to you and the rest of the scouse arse sucking medias' both insistence that we are "State funded" despite definitive proof we are not and other one eyed reporting of the court case that actually cleared us by finding us "Not Guilty" of "owner funded" sponsorship. If you were a cat I'd rub your nose in it until shit came out of your ears then launch you down the garden path you utter twat.

As for that goofy **** Klopp insisting we can spend what we want i'm assuming with Newcastle and PSG (who are state owned and have never denied that as fact) the facts regarding actual spend say something different. Read the following analysis (Last 5 Years Net Spend) and realise its all utter bullshit. That being the case why don't you and your wankstain journalists call him out. That's meant to be rhetorical because we all know the answer. You're a weasel and a coward and your clickbait scribbling is designed to get likes from the 2 biggest fanbases in the country. Do you really wonder why were "defensive in the extreme", you shouldn't, anyone with half a brain and the IQ above that of a cabbage can see why.

They seem to leave it all on the pitch against us, then flop in the games after, can see them slipping even further pre World Cup. They beat us in the cup then lost out in the league & CL, then beat us in that friendly, embarrassed themselves with their celebrations, and had their worst start to a season in years, might almost be worth losing to them just to see them get ahead of themselves & inevitably fail
I don't hold out much hope for West Ham this week but would love them to succeed where we failed just to see the anguish on their faces.

I've just listened to the footballers football show and one Muppet was saying people didn't believe there was enough toxicity between the clubs for such close rivals but Bernardo is trying to stir all the hatred up on his own.
I find it hard to believe he isn't aware of the vile abuse Bernardo still receives off that shower for drinking a cup of coffee.

One of the finest acts of shithousery ever. I fucking loved him even more for it, too.

He understands it.

It’s boiling over.

The Daily Mail have contacted Liverpool.

Here we go again with another statement.

The borderline xenophobia comment is pretty cringeworthy to be honest, Klopp didn't go within a country mile of bringing race or nationality into it. Sure, plenty of the criticism of ADUG and Mansour veers into xenophobic and even occasionally islamaphobic territory, but Klopp's comments on Friday didn't.

If they're upset with his comments I wish they'd make an official complaint, this leaking stuff to the press comes across as very weak.

How is the xenophobia comment cringeworthy, xenophobia generally means prejudice and that’s basically how Klopp behaved when he mentioned City, Newcastle and PSG having No Ceiling, Klopp mentioned these 3 clubs because they have Middle Eastern owners and because he doesn’t know enough about how our finances work makes what Klopp said prejudice towards City. Prejudice generally means - Previously Judged, so City were right with there Xenophobia comment.
