The DT report this morning that CFC are eyeing up buying a Portuguese club, following the example of Red Bull and Manchester City. Finishes with suggesting that the involvement of Mendes would be the perfect fit for the deal. I don't recall any of the clubs that belong to CFG ever being regarded as 'perfect'!
Calm down Dave. Take your Sanatogen multivitamin, you'll feel much better afterwards.

Clearly, how many touches Erling has, is the new stick to beat us with for the foreseeable future, in many ways it highlights their own lack of knowledge, because I bet if you asked any decent manager if they’d be happy having a striker who doesn’t contribute too much to a game (I think he does) but he’ll bag you goals, then they’d look at you like you were mad.
He’s a bit like ‘The Goat’ in many ways, one of those players who are in the right place at the right time and know where the net is, and that is absolutely priceless.
You've got the 'like' but Haaland jnr is definitely a poor man's Goat......... ;-)

Now I am sure that we won 2-1 last night didn't we? ...The reason I ask is because I have just gone onto the BBC website where they report on the papers. To win 2-1 we had to have scored 2 goals, sometimes by 2 people and sometimes just by one person. Last night it was 2 people but for some reason the press in all its wisdom (?) appears to think we scored only by a certain Mr Haaland. Now his goal was good and I realise that this post will only reinforce the impression that I have a favourite player. But I am certain (said in a squeaky voice) that a Mr Stones also scored a goal.
Am I correct?
Apologies if I offend anyone with this blatant cry on behalf of JB. :-)

Stonesy deserves his place in the sun for that cracker last night ;)

An example of the toxicity we face over here. And that "weepsie" guy is a mod, FFS. Not much impartiality there.
We pick up more cards, conceed more fouls than the opposition despite having 70% of the ball in lots of games due to the way we are often officiated. Any touch on a opposition player is a foul, same ref plays anything allowed on challenges on our players.

Jamie thick-**** o’hara to give him his proper name couldn’t stop slagging off Grealish on talkSHITE last night, no mention at all from him of the brilliant goals from Erling and John. Then their coverage just now - an incredibly brief reference to Haaland’s goal and then the presenter straight in on Jack - she will be told what to go with of course. To be fair to Gabby Agbonwotsit he was very balanced in his appraisal if Jack, but had the dippers come from behind and won it late with a wonder goal from Nunez would they be focusing on a poor performance from Jordan Henderson or would they be focused on the come back and the wonder goals? We all know the answer. Bitter and biased cunts. Jack was NOT the main story last night, although I accept he had a poor game, as did Riyadh, who they didn’t mention cos it doesn’t fit their agenda
I had this on in the car on the way home and it really felt like they had decided this was the angle to push. Every caller despite what they rang in for was asked about Jack

I did a silly exercise picking my team north. It transpired that it would contain at least 10 City players.
Completely scientific, honest.
Mine has Pope and Mo Salah, then the rest us.

And I was trying to be unbiased.

Not very classy when they tried to attack the Napoli players during their warm down afterwards
That horrible colonial mentality is alive and well in some quarters.
Demand respect for their monarch, make a pageant out of it even... then behave like pigs afterwards.
