He could renew his contract at any time and his release clause altered.
Here is something to try. I have just asked Alexa " how many goals has Erling Haaland scored " The answer I got was " this season Erling Haaland has not scored any goals for Manchester City in the Premier League " Unbelievable Jeff!
Agree with this. If Erling and his team gave two shits about what the media have to say he wouldn’t be here in the first place.Clause or no clause who knows ?
People seem to think the British press/media will persuade Haaland to leave as soon as he can.
Haaland and his team will make his own decision.
Why do people worry and give the press/media time ?
It's odd that the worlds biggest star playing in the biggest league, yet the press/media want him gone lol.
If Haaland had signed for the red tops this wouldnt be a story. Just ignore the press/media. Turn the match on at ko time and off on the final whistle if you arent at the match :)
When we go to games its oasis on in the car there and back. We have seen the game dont need talksport or 5live to tell me what I should be thinking !
If we win the Champions League then the media is done. It's over. Everything they have wished for and worked extremely hard for in trying to stop us for the last decade has been futile and they know it. They will have nowhere else to go and as a club, team and fan base we can just laugh in their faces at their pathetic desperation. They know that day is not that far away now. Hence this load of old complete utter bollocks from them.Agree with this. If Erling and his team gave two shits about what the media have to say he wouldn’t be here in the first place.
Last desperate throws of the red top shills.
Pep has said there isn't a clause.Exactly. He was in a position to negotiate whatever he wanted last year and City would have no choice but to offer him one. All the big names have them - not only does it give him the flexibility to leave, it keeps his salary high when he does. There are no guarantees that City are still what they are today in a couple of years. It really doesn't matter one little bit.
Which release clause is that?He could renew his contract at any time and his release clause altered.
He didn’t. He said there’s not a clause for any specific teamPep has said there isn't a clause.
trouble is all we will hear for the next 2 years is transfer rumours and the clause.Agree with this. If Erling and his team gave two shits about what the media have to say he wouldn’t be here in the first place.

To be fair to Pep (which the media will not be) I thought he was careful to say there was no specific release clause for Real Madrid which was the question he was asked. I would have thought though that general release clauses are probably routine for all the biggest players. The key thing though is that the decision on whether to leave will end up with the player and Haaland can stay as long as he likes.Pep has said there isn't a clause.
He couldn't have been any clearer. He didn’t. He said there’s not a clause for any specific team
Meaning what exactly? He couldn't have been any clearer.
Usual stories in the run up to a game v a red top.Talkshite main sports bulletin headline.
"Erling Haarland contract release clause has been revealed..."
They really have fuck all to do.
There will be more clauses than the "journalists" can count (on both sides), there will be similar on every single contract signed including the youth team players signing their first contract. Why people get worked up about it is beyond me.If Pol Balus is saying there is a clause, there is a clause.
He’s at the Athletic because he’s good friends with the Catalan heirarchy at the club and they brief what they want out there through Peps assistant (Estiarte?) to him
Unless he stops scoring and then they couldn’t care less.trouble is all we will hear for the next 2 years is transfer rumours and the clause.
It's extremely naive of anybody to think there's no release clause. There will be more clauses than the "journalists" can count (on both sides), there will be similar on every single contract signed including the youth team players signing their first contract. Why people get worked up about it is beyond me.
