Dirty Arab oil moneyWe are certainly disliked for various reasons, but the fact that someone’s race and/or religion plays any part in being one of those reasons (a significant one IMO) is pathetic…
100% guarantee they'd mention us if it were the other way round.Talksport just reported City are putting netting up above the away section after a girl was hit by a coin from the "away section at a game"
FFS why not mention it was from the Liverpool fans? Always protected in the media those whinging victim c*nts.
Yeah it’s him. It was a hateful piece that didn’t read in a million years like a fan had written it, he didn’t criticise the ownership or celebrate the past the way a fan or a Manc might…he was twisting a knife. I’d never heard of him tbh and don’t know his backstory, but he comes across like a Rupert who started supporting City because everyone else in his prep school 250 miles from Manchester supported United and Liverpool. But then we became successful so he doesn’t like us anymore, and actually on the rare occasions he visits Manchester he finds it a bit scary and watches the match in a hotel near the station. Plus he’s got closer links to Spuds anyway and they’re more of an underdog now. More disaster plastic than actually Blue. And even apart from him the story count over there is woeful. Not proper coverage at all.Yes, it was Jack Pitt-Brooke, another City Uncle Tom. I had no wish to read the article even though I have six days remaining of my most recent annual subscription to The Athletic, because Jack is like one of those weaselly little kids we can all remember at school, so desperate to be part of the gang with the cool kids that he's always pathetically trying to curry favour with them.
I saw his tweet that introduced his piece (not because I follow him but because, unfortunately) someone retweeted it. He was banging on about it being time for City fans to divorce their sense of the club's identity from that of the Abu Dhabi ownership or some such nonsense. IF we're found guilty on the most serious charges, then fair enough, but he doesn't even countenance the prospect, which makes his views impossible for me to respect.
I've banged on about my disdain for The Athletic before so am loath to do so again, but just to say that my experience after being lured back in by a £12 cut-price annual offer mirrored that of the poster above. It took literally two days for me to regret it as well, even at that bargain-basement price. I've had it for the entire period since February 17 last year, but have barely read it and now wouldn't even accept a free subscription.
Subjunctive.Thanks. It was stated as fact and thought that it would be huge if there was proof.
Have the Fail just linked it to Hillsborough! Is there no depths these wankers will not go to?Just read an article in the DM that is critical of us planning to put netting up round the Liverpool fans in April. How it will resonate with them and carry a deep significance.
Tell them to behave then.
Where can you watch today's press conference?

Wonder if it’ll be preceded by one of those ‘warnings’? “This conference may contain strong language from the start and descend into sarcasm and abject violence”Where can you watch today's press conference?
I would hire City Supporting Security Staff, the biggest and hardest out there and before the conference issue a warning:Where can you watch today's press conference?

A coin
Suggests it was only one coin and not a cup full.
I watched some of the Sheffield v Wrexham game mid week and they had a bid sod off one in front of the Wrexham supporters. Not a word said.Have the Fail just linked it to Hillsborough! Is there no depths these wankers will not go to?
Every European game I can think of has had netting around away fans, it didn't stop them jibbing in though.
there’s been a few City fans on various podcasts this week with a bit of a downer on our owners and failing to consider the outcome if we’re innocent. The lad on the Bluemoon show this evening saying he felt City’s statement this week felt a bit sinister and worried him and kept making the point. I don’t know about anyone else but I felt it wasn’t strong or bullish enough, where he got sinister from I don’t know? He definitely wasn’t speaking for me or any blues I’ve spoken to.Yeah it’s him. Yep, early 60's - won the cup the same season. Beautiful team, some really wonderful footballers, talented, gifted, and it coincided with the beginnings of the MotD, and the BBC took to 'em as a precursor to the Rags turning up. They were never off the programme. Someone wrote in and complained and they changed to another game - the day we played 'em. Battered 'em 6-2 and there's not a single frame of celluloid as far as I know. Young 'n Wagstaffe were unplayable. The same Spurs who are the only club in the history of the PL to be found guilty of and fined for financial irregularities.
"Have you ever seen Tottenham win the league?"

As I understand it the PL will be judge of this pantomime, and the jury will comprise any twelve of the remaining PL club chairmen. The executioner is yet to be named but I suspect he will be drawn from PiGMOL's best.Fair enough. I suppose money talks. Let's hope the PL bullshit walks.
