If Man City need an asterisk, then so do all the title winners since 2014

Maybe now the like of Leicester or wolves should ask the league for a new vote on ffp as they were all lead up the garden path and lynched. It does beg the question tho as to why city did not challenge the ffp framework instead of trying to work within its constraints. Has this been the biggest mistake? Commercially no, winning trophies no but as for the clubs reputation well it has and will continue to be decimated for the good of the ‘game ‘, game in this instance meaning the cartel clubs.

Referendum on FFPEXIT?

As long as we continue with our current scouting and transfer policy, I am happy for the rags to nearly sign whoever they want.
and also waste money on players like Fred, Sanchez, Ronaldo (second coming) etc etc. I would like to think we conned them into making these purchases because we knew those players were not really good enough. I suppose that's stretching it - but it's a nice thing to contemplate!

Now normally I would never watch anything with Piers Morgan in it, but a video appeared on my youtube feed last night with him talking to Barry Hearn about the just stop oil protest at the World snooker championship. So I decided to give it a watch. Hearn talked well, explained how had written to everyone who was in attendance, and how he's getting them together to take the protester to the small claims court, for the price of tickets, travel etc. Basically ruin his life for the next year or two. Then out of nowhere Morgan changes tack, mentions football and goes full City bingo, State owned, oil money, grotesque spending etc. Some of these nutjobs are completely obsessed, we must be in their thought's 24/7.

Classic diversionary tactics. Talk loudly about one thing to catch everyone’s attention and interest while quietly working in the background on the real project of which nobody has a clue. Means less competition for the real target.
An extremely popular military strategy too

The ramped up treble talk from the media is setting us up for a huge fall. All I am hearing is they will be shocked if we don’t win everything. Very disrespectful to both United and Milan. Look at the United 99, Bayern were the better team but lost.

It would be great to win the lot but I am being genuine when I say the league alone is a fantastic achievement. It won’t be reported that way, the sneering press won’t allow it.
I'm sure you are correct about the ramped up treble talk to put undue pressure on us. Their comments are either completely negative or devious like this. Either way there's nothing we can do about it. At the end of the day we all know what we have achieved this season - even if we don't prevail in the two finals. I don't think they make a meaningful contribution and try to ignore it as best I can - but sometimes its difficult to do so.

After the tidal wave of shit that we have seen since Sunday this article is, albeit short, a breath of fresh air

"Now regularly outspent by the likes of United and Chelsea, the difference in outcome is eye-watering. United flounder, Chelsea play like a school project about discovering how your body works, Liverpool grind to a breathless halt, City sail smoothly on."

Am I reading too much into the comment about Liverpool?

great line :)

Of course, the greatest achievement to pointing out their own mistakes is ... they could have signed Pep!

Eventually someone has to ask of all these catastrophic mistakes is...'why the f**k didn't you?'
During Pep's sabbatical after leaving Bayern I lost count of the number of rags who were convinced his next stop was the Swamp.

There is no comparison between Pep and bacon face, Pep is far superior. Ferguson had little or no competition apart from the odd good run for clubs like Villa and Blackburn then it was just Wenger. That was it until Chelsea and later City came along and gave him real competition from which he failed miserably. Very easy to be on top when you have no competion and tons of transfer cash.

You don’t think I’m going to argue with you do you.

8-)

Why the fuck our boys need to be called up after such a long season for these two games is beyond me. If England can't beat Malta and North Macedonia without our boys then Southgate needs a long hard look at himself. Let them recover from the season and chill out.
Let’s hope the sick notes go in en masse

I need some help - the all knowing Simon Jordan stated the other week that City can not be classed as an English team as we only have 2 English players. I’ve just spotted that the England squad has 5 City players in it. Now as Simon Jordan is all knowing and can never be wrong my only conclusion is that we have been cheating with the figures yet again. Someone please tell me I am wrong.

This is it.. I hear we poached Barca’s management staff. Despite Sorriano and Txiki being out of work.

Why is no one asking why Rags, Chelsea, Spurs etc didn’t try this??

The vision has been well backed, no argument to that. But it’s the clear plan that we have that others don’t..
