Well done OP!!

We currently have three rescues, all Springers. Berry (14), Daisy (1) and recently got Pep (3) .... Great to see them slowly progress and their personalities come out. Especially when you know their backgrounds.

Looking good there Blue.
Quick point oldius, big boned dogs should be exercised sparingly in their early years to allow the bones to develop/strenghten. Some experts reckon a couple of 15 minute a day and gradually upping the length of walks every few months.

We breed smooth haired miniature dachshunds and the exact same applies, even more so because of their backs.

Gentle and brief walks and exercise for the first 12 months as they grow as any injuries to their backs and spines at that stage can be catastrophic for the breed.

We have just rescued this young girl from a difficult environment. She has a few cuts and cowers at a raised voice but she is already starting to improve after just a week with us. We have named her Blue, for obvious reasons! This picture was taken on day 1, when she immediately went to the step that our Bulldog used to sit at before we lost him in August 2018. She slept on the same step for an age and is progressing each day.

Well done mate. She’s beautiful and love will heal her fully.
