216 is the old R block of the North Stand which was the centre of all the noise that came out of Maine Rd.danburge82 said:What planet are you on where you pin-point me for talking "bullshit" when another fan has said "216 is where the atmosphere is at City" and i replied to him saying that compared to South Stand Level 1 (and the same over by the South/East corner L1 and 2) the Level 1 fans are a different breed to the L2 fans. THEY ARE! I've not said people in L2 (210-218) don't sing at all because you do, but you fucking certianly don't start songs off that go round the stadium and you aren't stood up all game like the L1 fans - hence why i said you're a diff breed of fans.de niro said:danburge82 said:I'm sure there are singers up there, I'm not saying you're like the Famy Stand but compared to Level 1 singing areas, well, you're nowt like em.
nice back tracking, well done as you have done nothing but talk shit in this thread.
212 and 216 SING get that in your jumped up "i am a big blue" head.
I don't stand or sit in any of these areas in question neither, my opinion comes from an unbiased source so your last comment is completely redundant. My part of the ground is shit for atmosphere but then i don't go comparing myself to the ONLY atmospheric parts of the ground worth talking about which are the East/South Corner Level1 and South Stand L1!
That's not bullshit, it's the truth. There's a difference - a huge one - between 100 fans who sing a lot and a whole section of 1500 fans who always sing every game.

It's Quite Obvious To Everyone That A Certain Aspect Of The Atmosphere Created Comes From Direct Communication Between Home And Away Supporters, So It Should Have Been Made Absolutely Clear The Away Fans Still Need To Be Located On The Bottom Tier Near The More Vocal Home Fans.
On The Back Of This We Also Felt It Would Be Extemely Beneficial To Join The "Singing Section" (109,110,111) With The South Stand (116,117,118), Once This Happens It Leaves Simple Mathematics To Solve The Rest, Simply Fill The Now Void "Singing Section" With The Away Supporters.
As A Result Of This, You Have All The Vocal Groups Together Creating A Kippax/Kop Style End, And The Away Supporters Tucked Neatly Away In The Corner But Still Close Enough For The Unmissable Volume Battle.
The Problem With The Decision The Club Has Made, We Are Going To Essentially Replace The Vocal Away Supporters (Atmosphere Creaters) With City Fans That Dont Understand The Routine, It's More Than Likely They Will Sit Down And Stay Moderatly Quiet And That Area Will Now Become Theoretically Empty, The Words 1 Step Forward, 2 Steps Back Comes To Mind.
For Those Who Cant Picture This In There Head, I've Added The Stadium Seating Plan Below.
Alright, alright. What **** couldn't count? Where the fuck is 112?
On tele you very rarely see the City fans in the South Stand. Some have good flags in that area (they were all out on Weds against Napoli and I could see them clearly from my seat) but when I watched the game back on Sky+ I rarely caught a glimps of them. On NB's map of the Etihad above 109-111 should be - ahem - united (sorry about the word used) with the South Standers by swapping the South Standers around with the away fans so the away fans are in 116-118. Then all of our vocal fans would be together in 109-115 and the away fans are out of sight on tele but still close to the vocal fans on Level 1 to have the banter.
I've even really looked at the away coach park and all the police would need to do is change the angle of the police barriers outside the South Stand and that's it. Barely any change to anything.

There's nothing worse than seeing away fans celebrate on TV when their team score at the South Stand end.
Second, there are often gaps in the away section and people watching on TV often don't realise it's the away section. So having the more fanatical home fans fill the screen gives a better impression I believe.
Finally, it has to be better for the players to be attacking a "home" end.

we are assuming all other clubs generate a better atmosphere than us when they dont.
Arsenal is afucking library
Livepool only do it on big European nights
Everton jus sing Everton,Everton,Everton half adozen times in 90 minuites
Chelsea-see above
United sing nick nack paddywack
Tottenham just sing a slower version of when the spurs go marching in
The best singing atmospheres at games are when clubs are on the road, its the travelling support who make the most noise,3-4000 likeminded fans.
we are being a bit harsh on ourselves, give this singing stand time so fans can get season tickets there and it will take off.
I Just said lots of clubs, our atmosphere is far better than most clubs i agree but could we do it every match for 90 mins...that would be quiet something& pretty intimadating.flb said:The cookie monster said:I just honestly dont think our fans can sing or generate a fantasic atmosphere for the duration of a match......fuck knows why lots of other clubs can!
