Megaphone For the UEFA Europa League: Yes or No

would be quite funny if you took it to one of the euros. test the water and see how it goes. not for the derby though. wouldn't be needed.

TBH I wouldn't need it for the derby as the place will be rocking.(hopefully)

However, used correctly and it could get even more songs going, especially if we're winning. Not to mention on the concorse before the game and at half time.

I got the OK from the club to bring the original megaphone I bought off Ebay, but it didn't work and I sent it back to the seller. Gutted really, as I really fancied a tear up with the Right Said Fred Fella with his megaphone in the Poznan end. ;-)

Wait for the good one on eBay and just start bringing it. It'd be a laugh...

And "different".

Could be a new trend along with doing the "Poznan". We need a shake up and to make Eastlands have more of a personality. It might be the way to get the spread out singing sections singing together.

Where do you "sit"?

you've got to take the megaphone it will help the atmosphere be even better. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This, last year at the derby it went flat after about 20mins. I think we're more expectant now, and we get more nervous. I'm behind you
I agree with you Ricster!

If you want your enemy on the knees (i mean mouths wide open, speechless etc.) you must be:
a)loud
b)somehow organised (megaphone is a great helper and mint idea!)
c)active all 90 minutes and even beyond
d)support your team even more after losing goal/game because is the moment when they need it MOST!
e) do things that other teams supporters don`t (like bouncing, scarfs waving etc)- it`s not rocket science, it`s simple, everybody can do that and effect is massive!
f)do not hesitate to cooperate with club board in order to get what you want (standing sections for volunteers interested in full-game support, flags, megaphone etc.)
If you try (you`ve tried a little already on WBA away and had fun! didn`t you?) it, not all at a time, gradually I mean, you can be an fore-front among british fans soon. Because thats the way you can distinguish yourself from other crowds on "sanitised stadiums" as you (quite correctly) call them.
Just a little bit of advice from me. Worth of consideration i think.

good post. really the only way for English fans to fight back against the sanitised stadiums culture and the legislation/rules that keep it in place is by not acting sanitised.
