Talk of Nasti leaving is ridiculous. He needs reintergrating into the team and a good pre season. The potential we all observed a couple of years ago is still there.

Im liking this guy more than Mangala due to the fact he mentioned us in the same vein as Bayern and Barcelona, teams that 'players dream to play for', instead of 'hurduh i want to move to London'

I agree. Nasty was very good in his first season, last season he had to try and adapt to a new defensive system while being injured most of the time. Our need to sign a Benatia/Mangala-type centre back isn't to replace Nastasic, but to fill the gap left by Lescott. Kompany and with either Benatia/Mangala as 1st choice pair, Nasty and MDM as backup.

Benatia is certainly making the right noises for a potential move to us. The only downsides of this signing is the AFCON and us losing Nasta. We might have to trust Karim Rekik or Boyata for a while.
