Melancholy

Agreed, and after the match there was one hell of a rousing chorus of "we never win at home" in the Summerbee Bar.

Old City hasn't died, most of the blues round me were pretty sanguine about it, entitlement disease hasn't taken hold.
Thank god for that.

And then I think back 6 months.

I see the weaknesses in the current side and they are obvious. If we can see them, then so can Pep. I also see Laporte back in training, and I see Foden developing and feel that this is but a blip so whilst I share your sadness I am at the same time hopeful.

A well-fed tiger is a pussy-cat. Hunger changes the beast.

Perhaps we need these moments. Perhaps there will be a few more but I feel we'll be feasting again soon enough.
Foden developing, we've not had the joy of witnessing that yet have we?

My total media blackout shields me from the shite and further depression ... This season isn't going as planned but hey ho, shit happens, this won't be the last loss we suffer this season... The league has gone but I still fancy us to progress in the CL and win a domestic cup or two so all is not lost...

We were singing City songs on our coach on the way home.
Today I put up the rest of my Christmas decorations, I only got the tree up before going to the match. Wrap the City based presents going over to Canada, play the Christmas songs and ........................ you know what, I think I will have a drink............. first one for a while. :-) :-)
I like reading your posts EB. Made me smile that: )

It wasn’t as I still felt we were in the title race then. Yesterday was triple whammy: lost, lost to the Rags, lost our title.
I agree PC. But thinking back to our opening game when Rodri was bear wrestled to the ground for a stonewall penalty, the league was probably lost that day, especially when VAR ruled out a perfect looking late goal that no spurs player appealed.
