Melbourne City FC Thread

0-2 on 40 mins.

Ended up 1-2, apart from City's big CB not much on show and probably should have lost by more sadly.

Another game when expectations are up we choke. So far under the new French bloke we have played 3 games when questions are being asked and all 3 occasions we haven't "wanted"it. The FFA cup final, we lost badly 4:0. Few weeks back we played Glory at home with a chance to really verify title contender status but we lost badly 0:3, and coincidentally they were bottom 3 at the time. Now yesterday, boy that was poor. We were second best, not 1 player beat his opponent, at no time did we look like dominating and the decision making and errors were just horrible. We looked mentally fragile.

Unless this changes we have zero chance of any success, sure we look good when things are going well but as soon as we are tested we have failed.

We have got Sydney away next week and obviously no expectations and we will probably destroy them.

Never good losing a Derby.

Now that couldn't get any more City.

We score, they then go down to 10 men around 25 minutes, then low and behold they equalize 5 minutes later. Just before the break they get a pen. Pen is saved. Halftime 1:1.

Second half we struggle to dominate we have a period but not enough, 5 minutes to go they score.

Now we finish the year 9 points behind and looking pretty clueless.

Happy new year!!!!
