but you go twist that like you did the last post.
I wasn't trying to twist anything. I was merely noting that things have got so good that it is a bit funny to see someone complaining about apparently minor, somewhat parochial, issues.
You seem to be suggesting that CFG can't walk and chew gum, yet the product ON AND OFF THE FIELD has improved year after year! Surely that has something to do with a management team that is focused on the Manchester product.....or did you miss the whole Etihad Campus, Stadium expansion, new club store, better concessions products, etc, etc, etc....
The management team running the club is dragging it, kicking and screaming to hear some fans, into the 21st century, where City hope that 40 points are in the bag after 15 games or less, that the Champions League Group Stages are warm-ups for the knockout phase, where the balance of the squad gets us to Wembley on a regular basis, and where revenues enable the club to be self-sustaining for the foreseeable future...including one or two marquee signings every year.
Now, I might not see every single thing that needs fixing that you may have noticed, but it is hard for me to fault almost anything this management team has done in the last few years. The trajectory of the club, it's standing in the Community and around the globe, and it's future are all skyward.
Like many, I hope it will continue forever, and that there is the continuous improvement that is necessary to remain competitive at the top levels for generations. Accordingly, I think every facet of the club has become more professionally run. I'm not seeing the micro problems you must be seeing, but the macro picture looks amazing.

I, as much as anyone, have sung the praises of what the club and management is doing, and have defended them resolutely on here. However I'm also first to admit it's not all rosy and I'd wish the club was a bit more proactive on improving the simple areas within the club that still need a lot of work, such as customer service etc., things which require commitment, dedication and attention to detail. Despite all the changes last summer certain promises and assurances were not kept and it was deeply disappointing, as they dropped the ball in certain areas with what I perceive to be a lack of focus and attention to detail. I understand to many that it will be nit-picky but I am passionate about it and feel strongly about it, because ultimately I want our club to be absolutely brilliant in every way and with this new era to be innovative, way ahead of the curve in every aspect and whilst we are in very many we fall unnecessarily short in simple areas, that's a little frustrating.
However Rasc's posts have the wiff of "comrades come rally" about it and yes, I am a City supporter, we are the biggest club in the portfolio and we should remain that way and every other club should act as subsidiary and as feeder to us. If we allow them an even keel and an even representation then I can see long after our management team leaving, there being severe political wrangling and issues as the likes of NYCFC and Melbourne want their own say, more authority and power and it ends up with unnecessary baggage, hassle and arguments as everyone starts to self-serve.
It needs to be clear from the start that we're #1 and that they fall under the banner but also under us, and that every managerial and executive appointment hence forth is made clearly and purely in the interests of maximising the potential of CFG, with the other clubs maximising their potential in their own markets and in the process greatly increasing our share there. I see them as nothing more than local gateways to continental markets and I want what's best for my club, not for people outside other than if it also benefits us, I'm a City fan and I want what's best for my club, and I hope that we retain that position.
Melbourne and New York would mean nothing to anybody on here if we didn't have a role in them, therefore to us, no, they shouldn't be on an even keel, and never should be.
got confused with all the noughts,im ok upto 1,000,000 then my head goes west :)Hihosilva said:sir peace frog said:very good post mate.some people just like to find something to moan about.ChicagoBlue said:I wasn't trying to twist anything.
