Hmmm, it's all a bit strange this. It seems it's just me and maybe I'm struggling with seeing City in a different way to the traditional view of a football club and it's supporters, but I couldn't care less for Melbourne Heart or New York City FC, I have only ever supported one football team and that is Manchester City. I do not support a brand, but a football club who l have had a lifelong connection to through family and locality.

Well that's fine. Let's be honest here, once the immediate press hubbub has died down then, if you don't seek out the Melbourne Heart news yourself, you're going to hear about them maybe once or twice a year. No-one is forcing you to start buying their shirts and learning their players. If you don't want to be that involved, then just don't be, and I'm pretty sure you'll find that it makes no difference at all to your MCFC fandom. It's not like, when we made that big sponsorship/ground sharing (EDS level) deal with Hyde, that we all had to start supporting them, is it?

Suppose some blues won't get very excited about this but for me Melbourne holds fond memories and is one of the few distant places I have living family. I am well chuffed for Melbourne City fans and to have NY & Melbourne as our Sister clubs is fantastic news. It will be great to follow both clubs development over the next few years.
