Anyone used to love browsing through that back in the day!?

For many years I begged the old man to get a telly with it. We used to watch the scores come in at Dixon's on a Saturday while we waited for the bloody mum to finish window shopping

It really was like the beginning of the internet and free!!
 
Teletext holidays was on serious challenge
Booked loads of holidays off that, can remember the frantic rush to hit the pause button. My first trip to the states was a fly drive off there, for the mighty sum of £175 for 2 weeks. Can’t get a train ticket to London for that these days.

Id be reading them looking for a bargain 2 weeker in Greece / Turkey / Canaries..... youd see a good offer on on Page 4 / 35 and before I was able to grab the pen and write the number down it would be on page 5 and I'd sit there until it got back round to page 4....
