Did a little bit of research for you mate, the roof was put on the Kippax in 1956 the nearest game I can find abandoned because of a waterlogged pitch was Newcastle in 1969 finished 1:1 with Bobby Owen scoring just before half time the crowd was over 60000.

The 60k crowd was for the Cup replay against Newcastle, which IIRC was the previous midweek. Only the diehards turned out for the monsoon!
