Depay certainly has talent which is more than just kick & run, as he takes a mean free kick. But in comparison with Ronaldo, I would say the free kicks are the nearest, nothing else is close, well pace maybe.

He is often very wasteful in positions where a simple ball would suffice, but whether that's just him showing off, or that he's another dumb fuck, Agbonlahor type player is yet to be seen.


He is most certainly not a sure thing though & actually the fullback often looks a better smarter attacking player than he does.

Plus we have some talented young players ourselves in that position.

I've only really seen him for the Netherlands and I am not hugely impressed by him. I saw him recently against Turkey and I though he was dire. Diving, sulking, cheating and very wasteful, perfect for our neighbours.
