And City have embarrassed the rags with the quality of the football we play, the position and points total in the league, the fact that we have won more than them in the last 7 years, the fact that we are the only current club to qualify for the CL for 7 consecutive years.

Right. They couldn't get any higher or lower than 6th so there was no point in playing a full strength team when it's an entirely pointless match particularly when a much more important one is imminent. If they had qualifying for the Champions League on the line, they would have gone all in.

Generally speaking though, I wish players like Aleix had been given more chances this year rather than say Fernando. He was on the bench a lot but didn't get the chances he deserved.
