He's selling outrage and like all good little consumers you're happily buying it and promoting it to friends

It doesn't bode well that he does not seem to be capable of constructing a bog-standard article without following the basic rule of journalism that it should be fair, balanced, and accurate. That means he is required to get both sides of the story and he should have approached City for a comment in such a critical piece. The article reads like it has been put together by a trainee.

You do understand that it is an article in the MEN don't you , and none of the " rules of journalism " apply therefore ?

Unfortunately they have total control of the media, both written and visual and by fuck do they use it.

Sky dont go half a day without a rag good news story regardless of their form and today its Gomez the 16 year old who got his debut on Sunday can be the next Iniesta.

The MEN is not a paper that can afford to keep shooting itself in the foot commercially. It still regards itself as a mainstream publication and this reporter, who is not long in his new job, has made a fool of himself. The paper only circulates in Greater Manchester and it is just stupid for any business to trash its own customers. It may be ok for London tabloids to call City a "sugar daddy club" but it is absurd for this to appear in a local paper. Snidey, juvenile jibes are out of place. I can imagine that Stuart Brennan will be furious because it will make his job a lot harder and he has been trying to build bridges with City fans and the club. It shows that the paper is out of touch with its marketplace...never a good thing.

I watch the rag youth a lot - actually more than I watch City youth. They play a 5 minute walk away and it's a nice way to bond with the nephew's.

Overrated isn't even the word for that lad. Wilson was significantly better.
