Mendy undergoes knee surgery

I wish Mendy a speedy recovery but we have adequate cover without him. It's not as though we are going to miss him for his defensive attributes as we haven't seen much of his defending for us, and what we have seen is not convincing as yet tbh. As a winger he's top notch but we have Sane Sterling and even Zinchenko on LW.

Defensively we have Delph Danny Lowe and Zinks for LB. This is what strength in depth is all about, and this is why we will retain the league... Have faith.

Interesting they've not said the problem despite them clearly knowing it, that to me indicates it's probably a substantial one. I fear for his future if it's bad, certain players just never fully recover from an acl injury and given his style and athleticism he could be in trouble. Reminds me of Richards in running style, let's hope he doesn't have his similar injury record.

Team will be fine so long as Delph remains fit but we do lose an alternative way of playing without him. If it's a lengthy injury Txiki might be looking at a natural left back in Jan.
Sessegnon from Fulham, English, Pep could do a lot to further his career

Zinchenko looks ready - improved a lot and credit to the lad - when it looked like he may be moved on he said he wanted to stay and fight for a place and he has done just that
P
Fair play to him for that. I like him and he never lets us down. His passing is fantastic and he is becoming one of my favourite players.
