Meniscus ops nowadays are usually by keyhole surgery and nowhere near as serious as in the old days. I've had 3 of them over the years and it really isn't a big deal. Especially for top footballers who have no muscle wastage to deal with and have such a high quality of post op care available.
My guess is he'll be back within 6 weeks.

Obviously more gutted for the lad himself rather than any detriment the team may suffer. Not overly concerned though and if anything it may give us a touch more defensive stability at times. Gives Zinchenko( who I rate highly) and Delph/Danilo more game time potentially. Think this could be the period when Leroy really comes to life as well.

new something was wrong with mendy and after the spurs game it was clear mendy was not fit and playing with pain ?? lightning fast strong and gets up and down but since the first injury and the new season something was not just right, sad news if its long term and maybe city will have to look at a new signing and not just cover his place

I think this is a big ish loss. We have improved so much in the attacking dept... I know Delph or Zinchenko are ok in that position and even "safer" but Pep would rather have an attacking capable player, even tried Sane there so I think this is a bit of a setback.

The guy is a very big unit and has had knee /muscle injuries his whole career.

Such a shame, great guy and potentially a great player but he is rapidly becoming a sick note.

Sorry but i don't buy the hype at all with this guy.
Very injury prone and not that good defensively.
That's 2 big injuries now in 2 years, he has bareley played for us.
We should invest in a new full.back who can manage more than 20 games a season, very disappointing but predictable news.
It seems the club bought him after 2 good outings against us for Monaco, all we have had In return for our 60 million is daily tweets and updates on his social activities.
