Merseyside Police

I just wanted to send my heartfelt thanks to the officers and men of the Merseyside Police, as due to the fact that they didn't see fit to provide us with a police escort from Everton Football Ground last night. You see it gave me the chance to sit on a bus while some of the very nice locals threw bricks at us, breaking 3 large windows, I guess I can take comfort in the fact that at least the locals got light amusement out of it and I'm sure it allowed the Police to deal with more pressing issues. However if I might be so bold, the next time the manager of Everton is trying to whip his fan base up, with allegations of wrongdoing aimed at the visiting club(and by extension their fans) I would think it might be worth considering the safety of the people that choose to visit, your normally welcoming city. While policing a football match properly must be, frankly thankless, choosing to not do so, thus putting people at risk is wrong.

I was sat on a double decker bus going from behind the park end to lime street station for my train back to Pic. On the top deck, right at the back, there were MCFC fans singing 'oh merseyside is full of shit, its full of shit, shit and more shit' etc.

I was on the lower deck and it was slightly amusing, even some of the Everton fans thought it was funny but there were a few who were getting seriously worked up and a couple of lads on phones telling some mates what was going on on the bus and where we were headed.

I got off the bus quickly and legged it before a fight broke out or coppers arrived and arrested the lot of us.

Anyone notice armed police all around lime Street ?

Bugger me Bluemoon threads are get out of jail cards now.

Seriously though mate how can this thread help?
because it looks like a fair few have been miss treated by the police,if someone on hear has done wrong it has to be proved so how can it be proved if they havnt done anything wrong, all they need to do is ask for the cctv to be pulled out, case dropped

Merseyside's finest sent me a summons a few months ago - saying my car was illegal and was parked illegally - in a district of Liverpool I have never been to. They wanted me to pay a fine immediately or they would prosecute me in court. The wife told me to pay. I got a solicitor who established that the car in question wasn't mine (they had said my car was illegally modified - I have a BMW that is a few months old and has not been adapted in any way), fortunately I could prove I wasn't in Liverpool on the the day the police said my illegal car was parked illegally. Anyway we didn't get to court once the police admitted the car they had photographed was a Transit Van - I never got an apology but they did drop the charges - shame really I think I'd have enjoyed the court appearance. Is this your car sir? No.

On a separate note the people o the bus that was bricked should send their note of thanks to the real culprit - Moyes he caused all the trouble yesterday.

Here's one for you. The CCTV isn't working, so they can't see it. They then decide, seeing as you've mentioned a thread on a website, to go through all the posts that the 'accused' has done on here.

All they have to find is one single post with aggressive overtones or the like and you're done like a kipper.

Pandoras box springs to mind.

I think you must have been mistaken about Police with guns around Lime Street on a Saturday... they usually only only arm the Police on Tuesdays... benefits day.

Correct

The Dibble were dreadful yesterday especially at half time, there was a bit of a stand off at half time and i tried to intercept the bastards when there was throwing the lad out with a mop of black hair, but got told to fuk off or else i would be going the same way.
However, i had 2 close calls with City fans yesterday and its something ive never encountered before. Firstly i stood in what i thought was my seat number only to have a skinny little nobhead with his mate get right in my face saying "get out my fukin' seat nobhead", it turns out i was just a row out.

Next was on the train home from Lime St. at around 9 'o' clock heading to Manc., was anyone on this train?

Horrible the scouse twats they are telling us to shut up for singing you scouse bastards then at the end of the game being my first away day not knowing how to get to the train station ask for directiong got told to fuck off and find my own way there then ended up in the middle of a big pile of scousers.
