Anybody can do the business in spain. Even the Steve the pointer was a success for Real. Messi hasn`t done it over here, bit like Robinho maybe?

Yeah but neither did Pele and Maradona, nor Cruyff.
That was a champions league quarter final. He scored 4 goals.
Rooney, Drogba, Torres don't do that sort of thing.
And Wenger has just said he is the best player by a distance.

It's an irrelevant question, because Barca would have no need to accept a bid for him. The only way they'd accept is if someone met his release clause, which all Spanish-based players are required to have in their contract. Messi's buy-out clause is set at £225m, after it was increased when he signed a new deal last September. And even then, he'd never leave Barca.

Come on we all know with the team in the right system with the right players robbie could have been our messi looks like we missed our chance
yeah maybe, suppose it helps when you have the likes of xavi, inesta and co to help out but a do think messi is the better player, he is far more consistent than robbie and don't seem to get as dis-heartened when things dont go his way. thats my opinion anyway! :-)

He just demolished a team vying for the championship in the PL
And last season he battered the 3 times in a row champions of the PL
What does he have to do to prove to you, come and batter hull and wolves.... only then can he be great

Your point is defeated by the fact that he has swept his feet with english sides by now. Like he did tonight.
However, I think Messi is so great because he is in the Barca system and Tevez is so much improved from last season because he is in the still developing city system of playing. In a way, both are perfect for the particular players involved and switching them around would result in both underperforming. That's what happened with Robinho this season. with us putting together a serious side, there was a certain style on and off the pitch that became the norm.. and whilst last season we built ourselves around him, this season we set about building a balanced side..and suddenly he didn't really fit in.
I'd have Tevez in our side over Messi based on this argument. Not because Messi is not a better player - he is of course - but because Tevez works for City. We'd get the Messi who plays for Argentina, not the one who plays for Barca.

Nope, Messi is worth a whole lot more. But you'd be buying much more than just a player - the brand Messi is the biggest in the football world atm, and perhaps the key to making whatever team would get him the most popular in the world.
No point speculating about that though since he's not going anywhere. And it is a tough call since we wouldn't be near that 4th spot without Tevez. But yeah, if I was a businessman with the amount of money our owners have and Messi was for sale, I'd definitely rather buy Messi at 100 million. The assesment is pretty fair though...Tevez is one of the best strikers in the world and Messi is about 4 times as good IMO. :)
