Messi

lets put thing straight, barca are not a one man team, just have a look at their players, xavi, iniesta, villa, pedro, pique, alvez, ect, ect, ect ,messi of course is a wonderful player, maybe the best since maradona, imo the best ever all barca need is a couple of cb,and a few more squad players, which im sure they will have coming through the ranks.

barca are still the team to beat, cant see messi leaving barca, but then again ,when asked a few years back if i would see city win the prem i said not a chance.

Step 1 : "Brazilian Peacock" to Barca - done :D

i would love to see a quote from someone at city in the near future saying "messi is a fantastic player and we would love to see him in a city shirt" nice bit of unsettling and even if it is bullshit, it will fuck barca off no end :)

come on zaba, you are mates with the lad, start the gamesmanship!!!

They are not a one man team, but this season at least it's clear they rely on him too much. Maybe it's Villanova not shuffling the team up a bit or something else but you can just see it. They certainly won't be going away and will be a top team next year, but for me Bayern will be the team to beat in the CL next year.

Yes but if and it is the biggest if ever that if he were to come to us our manager wouldn't play him in every game conceivable.
Good piece Billy,enjoyed that mate.
As for Rammy,we could rest him in....
the 2 Palace games,
the League Cup semi 1st leg v.....whoever,
the C.L. 2nd leg semi,cos we're 3-0 up from the 1st leg away,
and the swamp, cos we always win there anyway. ;)

i reckon if barce were to ever sell leo in the next couple of years, i highly doubt it i think he will retire there but IF he were to be sold i think we would have first dibs or city would be his preference, and im not saying that while wearing sky blue tinted glasses, just due to the facts, 2 of his best mates are here and txiki and ferran are here, considering txiki and ferran were instrumental in him becoming barce's main man, he will obviously have a close bond with them

but if we were to sign messi while he is still in the prime of his career i think i might just be in complete bliss

So part one is complete. Neymar to Barca's done. Be interesting to see what happens over the summer with the rest of their business and also with how the Brazilian integrates into the Barca team and ethos.

It's interesting that so many people think Messi himself would never leave Barca. Maybe it's the cynic in me, but the days of one club footballers are pretty much over (if they ever began). At some point Barca will want to cash in on Messi, and at some point Messi will want to try his hand in a different league. The question of when is the only important one for me ... and I still think next summer is going to be the time.
