If we signed Messi, we basically become his support structure, because he is often going to 'stand still' as Pep points out, & do his own thing.

Him & Aguero are a fucking awful combo for Argentina. No chemistry whatsoever. In fact that's Messi & all the Argy players. He just does his own thing.

We need to try and find the next Messi ourselves at an early age to nurture him through our academy to first team.

2 years ago, perhaps. But even though his goals and assists ratio is good, that's in large part to what is around him these days.

I think he's on the slide tbh. People will just remember what he did against us, but that was with 10 men. When we held it to 11 he was anonymous.It will be interesting to see the rest of their champs league campaign and how he goes against the big guns as I'm not sure whether what I see as a slide in his performance level is down to the tax case or age.

Still a great player, but at 120 mil I'm being extremely picky with those comments.
